From FA-003 to Beyer COP, really a noticeable improvement? Well, from my ear yes. But totally different setup. So that's why I a bit reluctant to get COP.

hi guys..
looking to buy a good headphone. doesnt matter open/close as long it is very comfortable and does not make your ear hot.
want to wear it like every time i used my computer for music, not gaming.
my budget around rm300.
thank you

- Budget: RM 1000, the lower the better.
- Your rig: Note 2. Laptop > UD100. Still deciding DAC and amp.
- What type of usage: Music.
- File format used in your source: Common lossy and loseless.
- Genre of music you listen to: All sort. Universal listener.
- Headphone/ earphone type: IEM/ Closed can.
- Other requirements: Clarity with accurate bass, not a bass head. Portable in term of design, and function. Earpad that allow my ear breathing.

After heavy justification, I decided have enough with speaker (for now) and focus on portable audio product so I can enjoy them anytime, anywhere. So for RM1k, headphone or IEM better? Before I never fan of IEM because tested JH Audio, uncomfortably fit to my ear thus I prefer headphone. Somehow after spending time with FA-003, this headphone too big to bring here and there. In love with Beyer COP but do I still have other option?

Isolation and clarity usually IEM has the upperhand, headphones have better soundstage.
JH Audio is customs, so i don't think the uncomfortable fit in their demo set matters much since in the end it will be your ear molds that gives you the fit.

Well there are 3 types for IEM, balance armature, dynamic or hybrid. Best you google to find out their characteristics as to which suits your need.
Once you figured out then you could narrow your search down.
Hybrids are not as common, and usually the higher end/pricier ones sounds more refine than the lower end ones. But it's not easy to find any demo in Malaysia.

But IEMs is really quite different compared to headphones. Best if you decide which you prefer.

Your rig: Sandisk sansa fuze / laptop output
Type of usage: Songs, music
Format: flac, mp3, APE
Genre: pop, ballad, soft rock, indie, jpop, kpop, j-rock
Type of headphone: IEM
Budget: RM200-350
Other requirement: Lost my Hippo Shroom, it was burned in more than 500 hours and I miss it so much. Finding an iem with similar sound signature. Preferrably good mid and treble, decent soundstage, vocals doesn't sound like behind a veil. Prefer bright than dark signature. Comfort would be a plus. NOT a Shure SE215 - tried and doesn't like it.

Thanks!

Can I have some alternative recommendations to the discontinued Sony MDR XB 500? Is the Sony MDR XB 400 comparably good enough?

Sorry , not sure if this is the right place to ask.

I'm looking for a headset for gaming with mic below RM300. So far looking at Logictech G430 (RM299) vs G230 (Rm199)

any idea on those 2 ?

Try get a used V-Moda M80 and find someone who sells the used V-Moda BoomPro Mic.

If mainly for gaming, better you go for Razer or SteelSeries Siberia series.
