- What type of usage : music, movie, games
- File format used in your source : mp3s
- Genre of music you listen to : universal.
- Headphone / Amp  type : do recommend, im planning to get both  headphones (comfortable) + dac & amp combo (doesn't require any extra AC power)
- Budget : best value for money ? appreciate if u could give me some option

thanks

Probably best if you decide on how much you want to spend first.
Because for different price ranges, you're going to get different quality and value.
And with a good budget, you are better off getting 2 headphones, one for gaming, another for movies/music.

I'm looking for an earphone that I can use to drown out all the noises while I'm on a plane. My current Apple Earpod does its job fine normally but not while I'm on the plane. Do you think this one will do okay? I will be using it with my Nexus 7 or iPhone 4S.

Looking for something that is below RM100 (for IEM).

Thanks!

flight static noise is relatively loud, for frequent flyers, i would recommend a waay higher budget and get a noise cancellation headphone or IEM. for your budget wise, the CKM might do the job, but you will need a tight fit or it will get noisy mix into the music

Anyone can tell me which is better? Monoprice 8320 or Superlux HD381F/b/ETC....

Im just looking for an earphone below RM100 that's better then apple stock pods, so I can go running and jogging and exercise without it falling out of my ears and sound like the fingernails scraping against a chalk board.

I'm pretty sure below RM100 there are some decent IEM's out there. Not the best I KNOW, just want something for a poor chap like me.

Source : Sansa Clip+
Genre : Everything except techno, dubstep, but I do like trance.
Budget : RM100 and belooooooooooooow
Usage : I wanna do my exercise! my exercise! my Exercise!

Worst come to worse i'll go with the safe choice which is RM90+ for a set of Dunu Tridents but just want to see recommendations haha.

Maybe I used the wrong term, I'm looking for over-the-ear type, but SR60i seems to be pressing on-the-ear?

If you were to buy a headphone to direct connect to laptop or iPod, I think the major factor that you have to consider is whether the headphone has lesser needs in amp.
Of course all headphones will sound better with proper amp. But some headphone has higher needs. They may still sound soft when you turn your volume to almost max.

Secondly, Ipod and laptop dac is only so so in terms of audio grade. To get a better sound quality, probably you can spend some money on DAC than to waste your whole budget on headphone. After all, headphones maybe the cheapest gear that you spend for the whole headfi system if you are really into it.

ATH-TAD300 cover more into detail than ATH-T400 but it lacks of noise isolation and bass response.
