@shannon_e, Q4 non peak period in Bali is rainy season there. The difference is that it won't be as crowded, hotel prices would be lower but U wouldn't know if it rains or not Coincidentally, I've booked Bali for mid October in conjunction with mom's birthday so am keeping fingers crossed it won't rain when I'm there

@shannon_e, I'm NOT there to look @ surfers OR ang moh's. I'm there because I want mom's birthday to be special this year so decided to take the family for a hol to Bali instead.
I oredi booked me flight ages ago; I suppose U could consider comparing rates on MAS too - just do a comparison for the dates U want and check if it's worth paying the extra to travel MAS.
I paid a total of RM317 p/person.

Rupiah-lah...They accept USD too but for sure kena slaughter. As mentioned in this page or a page b4, Our RM is also well traded there and should not be a problem exchangeing at many Kuta's money changer..suprisingly I'm getting a better RM to Rupiah in Kuta than KL!! ...But pls count properly before leaving...lotsa of horrow stories on those money changer short changing..especially those hard to believe rates that u can't find in KL.. DUn wait for Matta fair! For sure u will be dissapointed!! esp u'r opting for December trip! RM400 ( I presumed inc surcharge) in Dec is consider super cheap oledi! Grab it or else u will regret! U should understand how matta fair works...Very limited tickets offering at dirt cheap price are very limited to certain date & non-Holiday season..U probably see RM399 or RM499/pax but normally only 3D2N F&E package. All chartered non-holiday season + without surcharges! Once u added the surcharges it will be RM799 or RM899!! No diff if u go urlself via AA..RM400 + probably RM150 on shared room QUOTE(jeremyleong88 @ Aug 5 2008, 02:34 PM) hey all, a couple of my friends are planning to go bali in december for four days... when is matta fair? should we book online as airasia is selling air tickets for 400 something now both way or should we wait for matta fair? thank you!

BTW, I spent only RM1000 on both trips to Bali & that's for 3 pax not 1 ..Less spending on souvenirs, mostly on car rental (RM250-5 days), petrol (RM200) (, cheap DVD, food, entrance fee & illegal toll gates by villagers, & etc..So do your do your calculation. However if you intend to buy lotsa souvenirs, clubbing, luxury/romantic dinners....probably budget more like Cass did.. Try reading the past postings. Your queries are too general, I believe once you spend about a day or 2 reading backwards or from pg 1 u definitely got what u wanted QUOTE(maryjane9996 @ Aug 6 2008, 06:41 PM) hi guys..would like to ask some question.. i n my gf thinking to go to bali this year. how much it will cost 5d 4n ? i wan hotel in kuta.how much is it ? where i can get cheap flight ticket ?

During my last visit in May'07, the price is at Rp4500/ltr or ~RM1.80/ltr However recently just b4 the fuel hike in M'sia, I heard they hv increase it by ~30% so should be around Rp5,850/ltr right now or RM2.35..well still cheaper than M'sia QUOTE(irving @ Aug 6 2008, 09:00 PM) anyone know how much is petrol in bali now? per litre if possible

Managed to squeeze almost all of the famous spots in Bali in 6D/5N. About petrol, I saw my driver pumping Rp100k for 16.16 liter. Perhaps more on my trip later for the benefit of everyone here...till next time, ciao! This post has been edited by kshereen: Aug 7 2008, 02:44 AM

QUOTE(danny_ptlm @ Aug 7 2008, 09:39 AM) share some info yar..okie??hehe Sure I will share info here...cos this is the place that helped me plan my trip well. All I can say for now is Bali is a great place for photography as it has a mixture of lifestyles in one island. Kuta is the hip and happening place, Ubud the more quiet art village (nearest to most attractions), Nusa Dua and Jimbaran has nice and upper market accommodation by the sea. There's a Sogo shopping mall by the sea at Kuta area, from there you can see surfers while dining. The sea and sunsets are to die...even if you can't get to see the round ball of fire, it's still very nice...for example here... This post has been edited by kshereen: Aug 7 2008, 10:39 AM
