Yeah, I stayed there on my last visit. The room is fine, but if possible, please ask they arrange you facing the pool view. I forgot which block is that,haha...
The receptionists are friendly, they knew I went there alone and always talk to me as well. Some how they already can remember my name, haha.

It is quite a distance if you want to walk from hotel to Legian beach. However, there have lot of pubs and disco within walking distance... haha... suitable for night life  rclxms.gif

Not a problem getting bike there...But instead of dreamland which might not be realy nais (Although I hv not been there)..but from few review, & google earth view, that beach more like surfer beach too i.e very strong wave..unless you wanted strong wave beach? For calm, remote & crystal clear water, go for those on the East of Iluwatua all the way to Nusa Dua such as Bali Cliff & geger

Water quality at Nusa Dua so-so only should go further to secluded area such as towards Nikko Hotels up to Bali Cliff..there u can find crystal clear water...the clarity rival those in Redang rclxms.gif ..but no coral..only sea weeds..

Sea weeds dorminated that area & u can seel lotsa seaweeds farmers there & watch-out thos picit-picit makcik..realy good in picit away your $$ especially knowing u having difficulty climbing back from the high cliff (Bali Cliff)

anyhow...avoid VERONA SPA in ubud at all cost. Its dirty and their service is bad and massaging is not good at all. Go look for Sang Spa, its far way better.

Up to now, i have been to 3 spa's. Sang Spa, Murano in Legian, Verona...Verona is the worst among all  mad.gif

I called verona for pickup, and they say ok. so they pick me up. after the spa and collect the $$, they say.."oh, we only provide 1 way transfer from hotel in ubud"..WTF  doh.gif  , i have to walk 2km under the 12noon sun  yawn.gif . The masage eveything suppose to last for 2 hours base on the menu, but the whole process was just 1 hour and 20 minutes. To room is dirty and old, especially the shower area. the massage miss alot of area of your body, same goes with the scrub and mask. The towel that you use to wipe ur body after shower is old as well. I am not sure how on earth that some of you guys recommended this place. First time experience you may find this place value for $$ spa, but once u go survey more places. You will know that this is just another overrated spa with lousy service, stingy in mask and scrub, dirty shower area and lousy masseuse

It was way much different from Sang Spa. They pick me up, after spa send me back. the massage was full body(except u know where  brows.gif ). The scrub and mask they use was way more then Verona. Even when u  go shower to wash off the mask, the masseuse will wash for u. thumbup.gif

will update the pictures later.

I have a very good driver, he is very honest and kind, however he dint speak much though.
He drove us with his Suzuki MVP silver color and cost RPH 350000 per full day.
We dropped our tripod in his car and he send it to airport to us without charging us!

I only have 2 person, is it better to hire driver + car rental for a small suzuki jimny that cost me IDR240K full day exclude petrol & admission fee, or just get driver recommend by LYN for about 350-400K per day inclusive or everything?

i suggest getting a driver, free and easy. No need to figure out the way. (unless if your the adventurous type)If your hiring a driver for few days, try negotiating the price. possible to hack <300k

Not sure Ubud having that but for sure avoid those in batu Bulan..damn lousy & the those keris act at the end dun look real! sad.gif ..Almost feel asleep during the show...For genuine & real, depending on your luck, u can get to see real performance at any of the grand temples in Bali. If I'm not mistaken, The one in Batu Bulan charging >RM30/pax! mad.gif

Earlier I saw soneone posted the real one performing at Uluwatu temple....I saw anmother real one in front of the Legian beach..FOC.. rclxms.gif

When I was there..yes there were/are cheap rate in Kuta to my suprise....But beware..they might shortchange you which is very common there..& this is the major scam at Bali- shortchanging during money changing transaction
