got to know of a muslim fella working in HRC merchandise store
became my tour guide, very good one, gave good tips where to buy stuffs with good price.
my advice not to take drivers from any tour stall or shop, coz they'r just cashing in on the mat salleh tourists and showed all the more expensive locations.
anybody wants this guy contact no can pm me, coz i really recommend him

oh another thing, the current rate for a driver and car for the whole day inclusive petrol is 300,000 Rp. Cheapest u can get is 275,000... don't la haggle lower than that, buat malu org malaysia je coz it's cheap enough already

Added on April 8, 2007, 9:16 pmsukawati is actually a bazaar selling everything from clothes to souvenirs. u can haggle to a very2 cheap price, tips is to lower down to 50% of the asking price (anything lower than that is a bit too much la, pity them wanna do business, to get cheaper 1-2 ringgit only)... but actually the stuffs sold there are mostly rejected goods or of lower quality, not like ones u get in ubud, so if u prefer higher quality products, u can pass this place.

U hv just missed the boat last week...AA is giving FOC tickets to all its destinations .....probably u hv to wait for anothe AA promotion...The best to see Bali is DIY...dun take package tour...Rent a jeep (cheaper than Langkawi!) & go round the Island....Budget around RM2.5K for the 2pax inc of airfare, hotels. makan & shopping

But if u wanna cheap package....go ahead too...probably u can get around RM1200/pax (inc the price of cheapest advertised list of RM800 + RM400 on tax & surcharge) + budget additional RM800 for shopping..

I recently went to Bali on a budget DIY trip. RM600/pax for 5D/4N (flight + hotel, including tax). Bought Air Asia tickets 6 months in advance (RM120 for ticket, about RM170 for tax) and booked a cheap hotel in Ubud (USD40/night for 2 persons). Hotel was nice, big room (chalet style) with aircon, swimming pool, breakfast (tasty) included, and a simple barebones spa. Near to Monkey Forest Reserve in Ubud, about 10-15 mins walk from Ubud market along the main shopping street.

Other major expenses are Rp170k for taxi to Ubud from airport, Rp100k departure airport tax (per pax, payable at airport), Rp350k/day for van+driver (anywhere and everywhere, fuel included). Shopping is cheap, how much you spend depends on what you want to buy...

Then Rm3k is enuff for airfare, hotels, makan & shopping?? at least how many days ar..? btw, i know is OOT, but still wana ask... kekeke.... phucket cheaper or bali cheaper?

Well my last trip to Bali (3 persons & 4D3N), My expenses are as follows:

1) Air Asia =RM850
2) Hotel = RM210
3) Jeep rental =RM180
4) Food & Shopping = RM600
5) Outgoing Airport tax from Bali =RM150

So only RM2K only! But IF without promotion, Air Asia fare might be >RM1500! My nxt trip there nxt mth...AA tickets oledi cost me RM1750!! ...i.e I got free hotel stays valued ~ RM300 but exp airfare!!! What a bad planning!!

Hi, mind to tell us as well the hotel name? and also what other things u can do some where around ur hotel? I m going this August, AA (Free tickets but only pay Airport Tax).

2k per person?? then this time u goin..at least 3k above?? damn....

No-lah RMM2K for 3 pax! or about RM650/pax

Cheap leh... da expenses like goin Redang onli... i used around Rm600-700 for Redang trip last week...
but as u said Rm650 onli at promotion time rite... as no promotion time, how much does it really cost?

Non promotion will be about RM3000 for 3 pax....

I'm going to go on 5th of July. The thing is this. Currently there's no promo from AA. So how should i proceed from here?

Would it be cheaper if I go through those agencies which includes hotel and all. Or would the package in AA webby cheaper? Or anyone to reccomend their trusted ones to me?

Or should i only get the tickets from AA and arrange the rest myself?

You can just drop by few travel agencies & try...but on travel agency rate, Let say they offer the cheapest at RM800, u still hv to add ~RM400 for tax & surcharge, About RM200 for food & shoppings & etc....so ur exp might end up >RM1400/pax & if I'm not mistaken RM800 is for 3 days 2nite only...not enuf...

hmm ... u missed the MATTA Fair as well? What kind of trip u r planning? Why so last minute? hahaa ... my suggestion is either go do some survey through those agencies or just get a flight ticket from AA and plan the trip urself lo. Or just wait for the next MATTA Fair? Normally, it is better for a person to plan for their trips.

Yes 3 in a room...the 3rd one is my daughter-lah.. ..That price of RM1500 is if takes those package tour-lah....I just gave comparison on the cost of going DIY & going using travel agency.
