Anyway I found a new keyboard to replace the crappy noob Samsung keyboard , search 4.2 jelly bean keyboard in play store its free and smooth!! Just like my previous nexus 4

First try factory reset.
For me the problem came when you updated samsung app.

Your camera made your phone to reboot?

Well your problem is not unique as I have seen some other users in other forums reporting the same thing.

Still doesnt hurt bringing it to the service center

It's amazing experience but the only thing disappointed me is 8gb internal @.@

Hi guys,

I need some help.

These past few days, whenever I want to set an alarm the clock stops responding. "Unfortunately, Clock has stopped."

I have tried rebooting but to no avail. I am still able to set alarm using S Voice.

Please advise.

my s4 near camera area when i surfing internet for around 10 min / email (mostly 3g activities) it will feel warm / hot. if i taking call that time, my face can feel the heat . temp show around 46 Celsius....are you guys at the same temp also ? if in idle mode, it is less then 40.

i think it took more then 20 min for it to drop down to normal temp...i wondering how about the rest here.

after rooting and factory reset my phone hangs and then show download mode .. looks like i brick my phone

just for asking, what is download mode?

What is your firmware?
Did you flash right file as only newer latest firmware use only adam kernel. Older firmware needs a different file cofface- see page1
Since you can boot to download mode just flash again
Phone is only softbrick nothing serious

You enter this mode pressing simultaneously voldown +power+home. Use this mode to flash rom, recovery, modem, kernel using odin in pc

i think is immature firmware. Gardens KL is abit far from Shah Alam.. dang..

For those users who wanted to have shutter sound On/Off menu on your camera, you can modify the others.xml file located in the /system/csc/ folder to do so. However, only applicable to ROOTED phone.



Follow steps below:-

1. Find the others.xml file in the /system/csc/ folder. I recommended you to use Solid Explorer with root access.
2. Then open the file using built in text editor.
3. Add below string into the others.xml file as below screenshot.



4. Save the file & restart your phone, then you have activated your camera shutter sound menu. I tested it in our latest firmware version JDQ39.I9500XXUAMDL.

I wonder if "no shutter sound" is illegal in Malaysia because the option exist in the firmware.

I just got samsung Galaxy S4. I have this new problem :
I have a red/orange circle with no 1 inside for the' samsung apps' icon application. How to remove this notification?
(the notification is similar when we get sms)

I've tried to go to setting - application manager, scroll down to samsung apps and delete all data , cache and uncheck the nottification alert but the notification still there.

Does the notification alert always on top of the icon?
I'm afraid the notification alert will drain the battery.
if not normal, how to remove it?

I don't think so because you can easily mute it without rooting. Just turn your phone into vibrate or silent mode will do.
