Got myself Pineng Powerbank from TaoBao .... Straight from Pineng itself.. definitely original.... No doubt... however , this powerbank is disappointing....

Tried to charge my S4 from 40% to 90%.... around 1300mAh... took me 2-3hours to do so ... using 2.1A port ... average charging was 300-500mAh per hour...not as stated of 2A / 1A .... charging history was based on 3rd party android apps...

But to be fair , i got it for RM50+ for a 15,000mAh powerbank . for this price , i didnt expect anything , so long it didnt spoil after using for few times... I still prefer YooBao which can charge much more faster than Pineng ...

The review placed by TaoBao user is simply useless... never ever trust china ppl review ... they have never use high quality product ... LOL

Have you tried different cables and the Galaxy Charging Current app?

This gives you a quantitative comparison.

The GCC Now and Avg readings will show you what the powerbank is giving your phone. For the 2.1A port, it should give you a max reading of 1800 for a few seconds from screen off, then drop to 1200. This applies for S4 and Note 3.

You MIGHT have some bad cables, or bad powerbanks. My cables are verified for 1800 from the AC charger first then I will test the powerbank.

If your cables are not giving you 1800 even from AC then you have lousy cables.

The S4 cable i think is data cable. Please use pineng original cable as it is charging cable. Charging current will not be same.

yes. the AC charger have data pin shorted, so the phone can recognize it as AC power source.
But pineng powerbank don't have data pin shorted. The pineng cable is data shorted, so it is a charging cable.
you can try connect pineng cable with computer, see whether your computer can recognize your S4 or not.

Just bought Iwo p48 18000mah.
Couldn't try the capacity due to takes long time to test but charging speed is slow.
For 2.1A & 1 A output also get 700-800 tested on note 2 using galaxy current charge lite.
To me quite disappointing.

My ciplak 12000mah(2000mah real capacity) power bank can give me 1800! Same with my original charger!

If you want I sell mine to u at 130 , used 1 week only! Still 5+ month warranty.

Hi ya bro. You said that laptop batteries uses the same as Power Bank batteries. Thinking about this, my old IBM T40 battery already went kaput. Fully charge only can lasts about 5 minutes. Can I disassemble it replace the internal cell battery with new one?
