can Dota 2 or not on Surface Pro??

MS Malaysia just stated an hour ago they are still trying very hard to get us the new Surface @ https://www.facebook.com/MicrosoftMalaysia/...444312079004247

I personally know someone from the marketing team. Few factors they have issues with which are quite hard to overcome are :

1. They do not have a strong distribution arm locally. (Unlike Apple with their Apple stores, etc)
2. Logistics
3. SIRIM (Which was the main issue for the late release of v1)
4. HQ in the States having stock issues. Youre gonna have problems finding stocks in the States too.

Whatever it is, i saw the Surface 2 he had. Its really cool. Especially the backlit cover

Thats what i thought too regarding 1 & 2. But i can bet its gonna take at least 1-2 years before the full merger takes place and we see that happening

Hmm, went to Harvey Norman the other day, when I ask abt the battery life of the Pro and RT the sales man said that its good,

I start to doubt when he said he use the Pro for 2 days, with use on and off,

and the RT didnt charge for 4-5 days

Sounds false to me, if the Gen 1 surface is that good, then the Gen 2 should be muuuch better lol, still didn't convince me to get Surface RT or Pro 1

Anyone able to support this claim or let me know abt their battery life and what you did with it ?

the pro2 should be better because its using haswell proc, supposing increase battery life

the only problem i have with pro1 is the heat issue, it feels pretty uncomfortable for long usage

Errr... what do you mean? Can you further clarify it? 

Some issue with the zte modem.. tried a huawei modem and it was ok..

Just updated to win 8.1 and am glad got the surface pro... real significant difference compare to my previous asus atome which took half a day to update.

Does anyone know how long can Surface Pro 1 battery life last if you play game on it? I know latest game that use all CPU and GPU to the max, Surface Pro will not last more than 2 hours? But how about older games such as Civ 4? Or even older games that run in 2D modes such as Civ 3 or MOO2?

taking it back to the shop tomorrow.. aikss..I guess there shouldn't be any compatibility issue.

Hi, so from what I read, surface RT can only run certain programs while surface pro can support any program a regular windows PC supports.

But if my intention is just to use for work(Microsoft office,note taking etc) and casual web surfing, reading, social network like twitter, instagram, light photo editing b4 uploading online etc, would it be sufficient to just get the RT version or I need the Pro version?

Currently I'm on android Nexus 10 for the above purposes and when I wanna avoid switching on my full PC gaming rig.

i have given up waiting for the SP2 after selling off my SP, ended up getting 8" win8 tab for 1/3 and less of the price
