QUOTE(beebee @ Aug 19 2013, 01:14 PM) give some review when receive the case ya, hmm hard to look for SP I think 11" sleeves would fit better, like the ones for mac book air. I know a Crumpler Fug can fit the surface and touch cover no problem. Will those 12" sleeve fit nicely? need to go and get a look |

QUOTE(Alexes @ Aug 21 2013, 10:21 PM) I had some weird wifi issues, but I just off and on the wifi and it was back to normal. lolQUOTE(collin92 @ Aug 21 2013, 10:28 PM) I think the video you can only play is the type that you can play after you've formatted your laptop and didn't install any codec~ You can always download a third party media player. Apparently press play works quite well, or so I heard.Maybe need to Jailbreak so can install Codec Pack? |

QUOTE(darrenboy @ Aug 23 2013, 01:45 PM) I noted that there is only 1 usb port. Can you use a multi-port hub to increase the ports available? If not, how can we resolve the issue? If you are using portable wifi, wireless mouse and thumbdrive, it is already 3 ports. Is there a solution? You can use hubs no problem. And btw, you don't have to log in with hotmail account. Can always use local user with reduced functionality. This post has been edited by pristine: Aug 23 2013, 01:48 PM |

QUOTE(darrenboy @ Aug 23 2013, 02:18 PM) 1. Can use hubs, ah? The vendor told me cannot. Perhaps you mean special multi-port hubs meant only for surface rt? Yes can use hubs. I actually never, ever trust salesppl, shopkeepers or vendors, unless I know them personally. I've tested with my logitech 4 port hub, connected my mechanical keyboard and logitech mouse to it and it works.2. I don't understand by your last sentence - what do you mean by "local user with reduced functionality"? you mean yahoo email also can? local user as in don't log in with any email account, just create a user, just as you would any regular desktop pc. |

QUOTE(darrenboy @ Aug 23 2013, 02:40 PM) 1. Ok. I trust you then on the using of multiport hub for surfacr RT. Certain preloaded apps and features require a Microsoft related email account to work. Like the people app and skydrive, among others. Also I think the encryption data or something like that is also linked to the email address.2. Can create user id first before login. But why reduced functionality compare to using hotmail? You can always add in your Gmail or yahoo account email later into the mail app. Nothing will stop you. Haha. I have my Gmail account in my mail app and the Google search app. Lol |

QUOTE(marauderz @ Aug 23 2013, 04:35 PM) No, you guys got the wrong idea. The main thing is that you need to create a Microsoft ID, which you already have if you were using Hotmail or Outlook.com. Oo. whoops. my bad. Haha. You can sign up for a Microsoft ID using other domains like Gmail, Yahoo, etc. etc. Just that you'll need another round of validation of that email account after that. You can use all MS services as long as you have a Microsoft ID. It doesn't need to end with Hotmail.com or Outlook.com I myself am using a Gmail domain login for my Microsoft ID. |

QUOTE(darrenboy @ Aug 25 2013, 09:42 PM) My microsoft store is divided into different categories. How do I find the apps you mentioned like metro commander, social nv, vide, pressplay, ... under which category? So difficult to find. Do I need to go to each category to search, ah? Troublesome. How to search for all categories? Use the search function (?)Also I find that the microsoft store ahs so many similar names for the same thing - which one to choose? For example, you got so many facebook. And so many Youtube apps. Facebook I just use the browser. For youtube you can check out metrotube. |

QUOTE(darrenboy @ Aug 26 2013, 12:16 AM) You don't understand what I was saying. The search function is in each category. You got sports, you got games, utilities, tools, news, music, etc so many categories. So, that means I need to search in many separate categories because I don't know which category is metro cammander in, for example. You get what I mean? Bro, have you even tried using the search? It's a universal search. It looks through the entire store. |

Had to send my touch cover for rma recently. The corners were coming apart.
Just got it back. Quite disappointed. Courier and packaging when return to you sucks crap. Sent back to me via TNT, but say using UPS (1st fail), then TNT left the package in my driveway coz no one was at home (2nd fail), then open packaging, touch cover came in some air foam bubble pack envelope in a box in the courier bag. Wtf happened to the original packing I sent to them or the original packing of the rma unit? I have to go check now whether they sent me a new unit or a refurb unit. |

QUOTE(Silverfire @ Sep 9 2013, 06:44 PM) They actually said I can wrap with whatever. But I didn't have a box same size as the touch cover, so I just use original packing. Didn't think they'd send back to me without(!!) the original packing. Even my SSD which I sent for warranty came back with original packing and it's accessories. Heck, anything I've ever rma with original box and accessories returned to me with original box and accessories.Checked my touch cover serial. It's the same one I registered. Either they changed the number for the one I registered, printed my serial on a new cover or fixed my touch cover which actually looks really new. Wy Microsoft so weird one. |
