i am seeing the specs, i am not sure if the surface pro vs surface pro 2, has significant big diff in processor??

I am not particular on batt life, I am only getting 128gb + 4gb ram.

I am just worried if i get the surface pro now, and then the surface pro 2 comes out cheaper, i cry

Watch the video review posted a few pages back, could help you decide. smile.gif

Surface not for human use one....  laugh.gif
Kidding only of course. Personally unless you need to draw or something that requires a stylus, I think Ultrabooks are still superior. Where did you guys get your screen protectors from on the LYN forums, got any safe sellers you could recommend to me? I don't think having it naked is safe since some dumbass friend of mine might end up scratching it.
*
Look up hirota

hirota you need to make yourself more known la bro. lol

Just want to make sure, is the surface rt using micro hdmi? I'm going to buy one but I think the one that Microsoft offers is too expansive.
*
QUOTE(soultaker @ Oct 25 2013, 03:59 AM)
it's using micro hdmi.. some of the forumers already bought the 3rd party cheaper cable and it's works.. i think can get less than rm50.. can't remember the exact price..
*
Yep, micro hdmi for surface rt. I bought mine for like rm30 from taobao.

What card you using? I plan to buy one but no idea which to choose, was thinking the SanDisk 32GB.
*
Any card will do if you're on a budget or want to keep it simple. If you want to go all out and get the best you can, the SanDisk SDXC Extreme (gold coloured card) is curently the fastest SDXC card in the world. Comes in 16/32/64 sizes, fastest card rating only valid for 32/64 GB versions.

I think Samsung has produce a more faster card than SanDisk but it really really expensive..
*
QUOTE(Liuteva @ Oct 26 2013, 02:39 PM)
I saw this selling at Harvey Norman at 88 ea.
Thanks for the informations. Yes, you are right the Samsung one expensive and the performance not really different alot.
*
Samsung's SDHC Pro has faster read speed than the regular SanDisk SDHC/SDXC C10. Not the extreme.

Samsung SDHC Pro specs: Read: up to 70MB/s with UHS-1 interface Write: up to 20MB/s with UHS-1 interface * Actual speed may vary depending on use host device conditions and environment.
Extreme specs :Performance/speed: Up to 80/50MB/s** read/write speed (32 GB & 64 GB)

And if you're going to buy the Samsung pro, you're better off buying the Extreme.

Once you update Surface to Windows 8.1, to close an app, you have to swipe from top to bottom, then HOLD IT AT THE BOTTOM, for at least 3 seconds, until there is an animation that the app screen flips, then only the app is closed.
*
Really? I'm on 8.1 and closing apps is the same as before. blink.gif

no no no. He's right. You can "close" it, but it's still running in the background. Once it flips can "closes properly" it vanishes from task manager.

I read the description its similar as notepad++, can it make compilation?
And I search through productivity and tool apps i found out most of them are quite pointless coz i can use built-in apps ady by typing command prompt and run, such as calc, mspaint and notepad for  either coding, editing etc.  sweat.gif
*
I don't think can use as compiler. This app also I found by chance. laugh.gif

Yeah, got a lot of apps that do the same thing, and I don't trust half of them. Especially the "google" ones.

Sorry my bad  notworthy.gif , i thought that the search function from right slide (charm) is bing search and didn't try it. Looks like Surface RT improve this making it as global purpose search function instead of putting search button.
*
In 8.1, it searches everything. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(ixade @ Nov 27 2013, 09:41 PM)
hey anyone ever claimed their warranty from microsoft at Malaysia? I was having problem with my surface rt and I called the service centre at 1800886295 and they said they will arrange an order and they will send a courier service to pick up my surface rt from my place and they will replace it in two-three weeks time. Is this true? Im having doubts.
*
Yeah, they'll have a courier come collect and return you the part after a few weeks.

My advice to you: keep track of the service status. Last time they threw the package into my driveway coz no one was home. Luckily it was just my touch cover and not my tablet.

Don't bother sending them back original packing, they won't return it.
