the weights are to bring the bike up above the uci weight limit... they usually want it as low as possible for lower center of gravity...

sometimes, you see a string weights put in the hollow shaft of the cranks...those are usually extreme weight addition...

the rest day rides are not to help the muscles recover... it is actually to prevent the muscles to go into a resting mode... in other words, keep it active so it doesn't fall asleep when race day resumes...

i'll be happy if i can do 450 watts even for 2 whole minutes... the pros have to hold that power output for best part of half an hour on final ascent of a high mountains stage...

it depends if you want a branded one or you don't mind some rather unknown brands??

cheaper options you can try
http://www.usjcycles.com/bicycles/folding_bike/

for more of the fancy brands, you can try
http://www.fbfoldingbike.com/
http://vansurbanbicycle.com/

Dahon, Tern, Tyrell, Bromptons...might be over your budget though...

also try to pm etigge... i think that is the person you can look for to help recommend you a foldie for your budget...

is that a bad sign?? i think that means your balls craves for some massaging...

i had a nightmare yesterday... i dreamt that vin_ann came and challenge me even though i did not buy any upgrades and i won ... and he kept on challenging me again and again and again... it's a nightmare...

lesson learn, if you face vin_ann... lose to him.. and make it look like you lost genuinely..

why do you want a 24"? it's almost like a folding MTB.. kinda defeats the purpose of a true foldie..
