QUOTE(butthead @ Apr 29 2013, 12:49 PM) dunno... Any idea where in PJ/KL can get this Swissstop brake pad? also dunno... vin_ann is secretly riding a s-works tarmac sl4 now... full black on black livery.. he scared we will go challenge him if he tells us... no one...except mr.jgx... but he sold it off... so, still no one in the end... u rather be slithering around fake rocks than juicy mouth watering fatty pork??? are you SERIOUS??? jus to avoid raising the flag of the customs officer... RM500 is automatic raise flag... but still possible to kena if they have the suspicion...general rule with customs is, there is no general rule.. they buat sesuka hati irregardless to the rules the written.. i brought in a cable for my friend from HKG the other day...got the seller to underwrote the value to only 120USD and put it as "used"...i didn't use "gift" to lessen suspicion...but i kena taxed RM30+ anyways.. which was still acceptable since the cable was around RM1.8k in actual costs.... was more afraid might get caught with the sirim stuff since it's electrical stuff... that would be more pain than paying tax... http://www.wiggle.com/swissstop-flash-pro-...rformance-pads/ |

QUOTE(butthead @ Apr 29 2013, 12:56 PM) i noticed godzilla cycle sells original swisstop pads... they have almost everything up to yellow king gold...but price is above RM150 upwards to RM220+ From what i observed the original SRAM by swissstop pads that comes with my bike have narrower gapselse, you can ask GH Speedbike in advance and see if they have the SRAM pad inserts since they are theoretically the same pads made by swisstop...i remember those are cheaper...and since GH and godzilla are just behind each other in the same area... http://www.sram.com/sram/road/products/pad-insert ![]() The one under swissstop (without SRAM wording) the gaps are much deeper, thus I am more interested on this one ![]() Maybe will get from godzilla since after factoring in the limit of RM500 to avoid tax and delivery charges, differences is less than RM5 |

QUOTE(yolk @ Apr 29 2013, 01:08 PM) Finally managed to spend some long hours on the saddle and completed a 100km ride (with breakfast stop in between). Previously, the furthest distance done was around 70km. So in a way this was a big deal and I guess I wasn't really prepared for it. Finished 1 bidon during the first 50km, then stopped to have breakfast (banana cake + hot latte). Ride back was fine and was drinking water occasionally; by 70+ km my left calf got a cramp while trying to unclip and I couldn't unclip in time and fell. Left calf started pulsating and I had major cramps. Stretched a bit and was feeling better. One 550ml bottle every hour, some salt added in if hot days, RM0.70 roti every 2 hoursRode for another 20km and that's when all hell broke loose. Both calves starting to cramp, left thigh was twitching. Was left with 1/4 in the bidon and finished it all. Limped/rode to the nearest petrol station and bought isotonic drink and filled one empty bidon and the other with water. Felt better and slowly paddled back, the last 10km felt really long and the crazy head wind did not help at all. Question, is there a general rule of thumb on how much water to consume based on no of hours/distance riding ? What about food intake ? Some told me that I will need to bring along power bar/gel/energy bar etc etc and it's to be consume every hour on the saddle. I have a big ride in Oct and in the midst of training for it (200km in two days) but it's supported so I guess there'll be stop areas along the way and I can refuel/eat along the way. Here's the ride gradient for the day [attachmentid=3416291] |

QUOTE(Mac Wai @ May 30 2013, 01:23 PM) ... Choosing the wrong accessories... A noob's mistakes. my mods, almost 1 year still holding fine 1) I deployed a cateye Rear light on my seat post, but the fastener knob (too thick) gets in my way of paddling and brushing against my thigh. Looking for an alternative rear light. 2) my ultegra front derailleur cage chain rubs when I am on the following front / rear gearing 53-25;23 and 39-11;12T (hate the rubbing sound and wears out the chain if prolong used), as a result, I have been avoiding those specific gear ratio. Is it possible to solve the issue with the SRAM Red Fd with yaw by swapping it out? .... or do I have a better alternative? ![]() |
