hi guys,

I'm planning to have a trip to Hong Kong this coming December.

What dates would you suggest that would be the least packed for Disneyland? Hoping to complete all the main rides (including taking picture with Mickey Mouse & friends) in a day... possible?

And do you guys think it's cheaper to get package trip from tour company or to book myself? I want to have a stay at Disneyland Hotel too but judging from the nightly price it's RM1.2K per night  shocking.gif

Thanks in advance!
*
taking ride and pix oni, not including musical and show rite... yup possible

or
if you visit during extended period... why not
fyi disney close at 7/8pm

I've read that Octopus card is required when travelling to HK. I am just curious any benefits of using Octopus card? Is it simply just like our TnG? Wouldn't it worth better getting the Adult Tourist Day Pass of unlimited travel at $55 only?
*
goto MRT website and download the Octopus charges chart...

if your travel plan is more than $55... then by all mean... get it

else... dont need to waste $$$

u book there is slightly more expensive if u compare with booking.com, expedia.com etc...

I booked over AirAsiaGo tat time coz they sent me email. They charged me right away, can see it in my cc bill and all paid off d. AirAsiaGo actually is expedia on his back. Hotel will claim the fees from the expedia virtual wallet something like tat. Coz I saw Hotel using the booking reference I made tru AirAsiaGo but when they send me is actually expedia.

I would like to purchase HK Disneyland ticket online, and I heard buying from TaoBao is cheaper. I've never bought anything from TaoBao, may I know how should I buy it? Do I just pay online and wait for delivery? I'll be travelling from 19-23 Jan, will I be able to get the ticket on time?
*
if u buy from taobao,
u need to pay for the international shipping cost... around rm10 to rm16
local shipping fee rmb0 to rmb10
2-3% credit card fee, credit card exchange rate
risk of fake ticket, or lost ticket during delivery

the longest I wait is around 21days b4 taobao return the money,
dishonest seller...
my item oni rmb10 plus another rmb6 local shipping fee
taobao oni return rmb10... the seller eat my rmb6 for unshipped item

conclusion, small items or something u need urgent... don't waste time
Disney ticket u can get at airport (sometimes free umbrella), u can search the history in this thread
or buy from ding2 at mongkok
or buy original price on the day itself...

im just read somewhere in bloggers.
they used booking.com

somehow even after fully paid by that websites, the hotel there add additional tax, charges etc.

mind to share any tips to prevent this?
*
oni agoda did this... they never show u the total price... the tax and service fee oni revealed after u PAID
many first-timer got cheated, me included...

actually agoda is kind of *******... they do include very small and blur font tat list the % tax+service fee for each room type
remember do the calculation urself

not everyroom have free cancelation, especially if u r hook by agoda new marketing scheme... PAY LATER
---

there is a map feature for both site, use it to check the distance to the nearest mrt

---
ops to clarify this, i sometime use agoda...
google... insider deals and 50% off whistling.gif
