just wanna check if anyone else is having this alarm clock problem that is still affecting my wife's S3.
the problem, in summary: * alarm clock does not ring * blocking mode set but alarm is allowed * phone is in silent/ vibrate mode but alarm volume is OK * stock ROM -- factory wipe also still same thing * restart phone will normally fix this problem for a few days * sometimes, it gets really bad to the point even incoming calls dun ring (when the vibrate/ silent mode is disabled and outside the block hours) a quick check on XDA shows some others have reported something similar... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2185515 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...=1981575&page=4 (this one is similar, though its Note2 thread) |

QUOTE(salimbest83 @ Apr 19 2013, 10:46 AM) Yup. since im using this leaked 4.2.1 rom, confirmed it still show that custom binary and red ! even after we clear using triangle away. This is now common knowledge, JB bootloaders detects modified status and displays red !, there is no triangle away version that can reliably 'fix' this. wil try with 4.1.2 rom this weekend If want to be rooted and/or using custom ROM, I suggest you use the old ICS bootloader. However it has been speculated that the bootloader fixes SDS during download mode. So try this at your own risk if you have an INSANE chip. Just have to keep your fingers crossed when flashing the old bootloader (Easiest is to use CWM as the old bootloaders are blacklisted once you have the new JB Bootloaders) All methods are described here How to flash back old bootloader Forgot to mention, the bootloader is updated when 1. using PC ODIN to flash stock rom 2. using OTA to update Bootloader is not updated when 1. using Mobile ODIN to flash stock rom 2. using Kies to update This post has been edited by tigerporc: Apr 19 2013, 11:28 AM |

QUOTE(kopiPeng @ Apr 19 2013, 10:22 AM) Haha.. ok.. but I dont like to press physical button much.. sked later loose jor... OTA is always smaller.. Those that mention 1GB+ are those that update via Kies or download the firmware.. I believe they mistaken it as the same for OTA file size..Btw.. I just updated the latest firmware thru OTA... the file size is 35.89mb only... not 1gb+ as someone mentioned earlier.. [attachmentid=3399451] |
