My 2 S3s are used by my son and daughter-in-law. So I am actually more concerned for the time being about my Note2 until I get the LTE S4.
*
You upgrading your Note2 to S4 LTE..?
Why not wait till Oct/Nov for Note3.? Note Series always trump over S Series. This S4 is sort of guinea pig in preparing Note3.

With big FullHD screen and big battery plus wacom digitizer..the pablet will be a heaven to have/use. drool.gif

edit:
Checked, you're right. I read that the others had found that 4.1.2 stock were safe

Kernels below are the safe ones, not sure about others.

Fix v2

From what appears to be Update 8 sources (MB1 onwards), the fix seems to be much better with far fewer freezes. I haven't included the MR* vodafone ROMS because who knows? They don't follow the standard naming convention. All I can say is MR2 came out when MBx was around (B = February) but is still only fix v1

People who have never rooted need not read any further. Essentially, if you have an official, never rooted 4.1.2 ROM, you're "safe"

so rooting is one of the causes of SDS, eh hmm.gif

yes, i think that's why the word "safe" is put under quotation marks.. maybe what it means is less risk of sds.. which means, rooting increase the chance of sds?

edit: or probably it is just because by rooting, u might accidentally change critical file that may cause sds.. hmm.gif

Ever heard anyone who own the S3 batch MP 1.500 get SDS? Or just those with "insane chip" stated with eMMC are facing the SDS problem?

Anyone here with a "sane chip" faced the SDS problem as well? Been reading a lot of this S3's SDS lately.... blink.gif

Hehe..S4 with its powerful processor can run those bloated 4.2.2 nicely but not S3. Maybe S3 can have a Lite version on all those special S4 features.

I think Samsung engineer/technician already have tons of special features in their disposal. First they built a phone...put a certain processor then start putting those special features one by one..until they feel enough at certain point where the phone start stuttering.

Then they say..okay..we release this phone with these certain amount of features.. Now the phone is ready to be release into market...lolz

These 2 days my phone is acting really weird. The temp will go up till 50c for no apperent reason. I already install watchdog and cpu monitor to see if there is any rogue apps thats causing this. Didnt find any. Use BBS and cpu spy to see if i have any wakelock problem, nothing seems out of the ordinary. Just went pj sc 2day to change my usb cable, asked them and they say have to leave the phone 2-3 days. And they say usually they solve the prob by wiping the phone and do clean install. Im trying to avoid that (+ i didnt unroot my phone).
Any of u have this prob? And i saw at shops 2day got this phone holder we can clip at the aircon vent. Is it safe to put our phone there for long period? Coz thinking of using it while i try to find whats causing this heat issue
