yup

what i mean is to use mobil odin to flash wanamlite ROM which in Zip format not .tar

most custom rom need to flash also with custom recovery

it is very scarce to find custom rom that can be flash by odin

The red mark can only be remove by flashing old bootloader.
You can ask TamiyaOne on how to do it pemanently.

Latest MobileOdin i heard can be used to flash custom rom zip files though i never try it as i trust more in flashing via CWM.

Too bad I was away for the first half of the day. Came back from a round of golf, dead tired but can't help but to say this.

Had I been around I'd certainly voiced out. Those few characters and they know who they are, are just pathetic. In so many instances they have said contradicting things. Either they are intellectually challenged or their command of the English has failed them such that they do not know what they are expressing. What is more amusing is they do not seem to know or perhaps have intentional mind lapse in what they had posted earlier.

And worse still, they are so opinionated that they do not even consider the bigger picture. This is sad.

wan to know... may help friend to flash his s3 to custom ROM but got RED ! the last time 1 flash when s3 on 4.1.2... and my 2 unit has NO ! ,, but was flash b4 4.1.2 Rom

that was 4.1.1 ROM with your old bootloader

that why i ask early is it possible to down grade the bootloader to ICS from 4.1.2 Rom

Do stock ROM at sammobile com with old bootloader such as ICS 4.0.4 ROM

noob ? here : do OTA update 1 firmware at a time ... Eg if i flash to ICS 4.0.4 it will update 4.1.1 then OTA again to 4.1.2 or it will go form 4.0.4 straight to 4.1.2

If you rajin looking at xda..i believe there're a few link to old bootloader zip files that still can be used.
But you need to downgrade your firmware to certain version/built then only can flash those bootloader. After that you can upgrade back to latest firmware.
