Hi, how it Lenovo after sales service? The service center is it located at Plaza IBM Bandar Utama? Normally 4-cell battery can last for how many hours?
*
lenovo after sales service is ok but not as great as dell. not sure about the service center though. 4-cell can last up to 4-5 hours depends on usage and specifications.

Guys, when I purchasing my dell Inspiron 15R special edition, the Sales representative told me that the mSATA SSD could not be upgrade to higher capacity. If I upgrade myself,it will automatically void and engineer refuse to inspect my laptop when I got any problem in the future sad.gif
*
they just want to scare you about it. i chat with the sales representative before and i act like stupid and n00b about laptops.

like what [P.F.]TJ said, get a experienced technician to handle it if you dont know how to disassemble. cool2.gif

EDIT : or you can find me if you want to. smile.gif

Seriously they keep scared me out everything and so much different with what you guys said and what I researched in internet sad.gif

Usually I build my desktop hardware rig myself and disassemble my laptop to upgrade RAM.but never encounter mSATA in daughter board before.is it so much different? Need you guys tell me how hard is it sad.gif
By the way guys,do you guys know any model that budget <4k that have a good laptop battery and full hd screen? because I just realize that the Inspiron 15R SE just got about 2hours battery life.Is it pretty short or normal?
*
it wont be hard. take it as a RAM module.

EDIT : it is not normal if you cant reach 3 hours of battery life. less than RM4000 i can get lenovo Z400, which is better than the 15R SE.

I've been doing sorta 'research' on google  doh.gif  , for the Lenovo ideapad Z500 & Z800 but I just can't choose among them  rclxub.gif  Can you please help on like .. describe briefly the differences between them ?  blink.gif

Trouble much >< thanks !
*
Z500 and Z800??? lemme help you correct it. laugh.gif its Z500 and Z580. laugh.gif

Z500 features a built-in 4-cell battery (non-removable) while the Z580 features a 6-cell removable battery. from weight measurement, the Z500 (2.2kg) is lighter compared to Z580 (2.65kg). from the laptop size measurement, Z580 measures 14.8" x 9.8" x 1.3" while Z500 measures 14.8" x 10.4" x 1". Z580 features 4 USB ports (2 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0) while the Z500 features 3 USB ports (1 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0). majority of the Z580 body is made of plastic with aluminium parts, while the Z500 body majority is aluminium with plastic parts. the Z580 doesnt has a unibody design like the Z500 do.

maybe sound confusing. sweat.gif

Sorry to bother you guys again
My friend want a laptop
Preferred brand - As long as it is a famous brand
Usage - College, he say gaming isn't that important
Budget - Any
He want a touchscreen Ultrabook which can last more than 7-8 hours.
I currently introduce him a Sony VAIO Duo with upgraded battery. Or a Touchscreen Vaio T series. Sifus got any other suggestion?
*
Dell [Ultrabook] XPS12, i5-3337U + Intel HD4000 + 128GB SSD + (1920x1080;touch)@RM3999[1.54kg], 8GB, W8, backlit, spill resistant keyboard, build-in battery, no ODD
Lenovo [Ultrabook]IdeaPad Yoga 13, i5-3337U + Intel HD4000 + 128GB SSD@RM3399, 4GB, 2 years; colors: grey/orange
ASUS Taichi, i5-3317U + Intel HD4000 + 256GB SSD@RM3999[1.25kg][Bang & Olufsen], 4GB, dual IPS screens

actually the best choice is the sony vaio duo. if you want a laptop like convertible, the best is dell XPS 12. Lenovo Yoga also not bad, but the negative side is your keyboard will be facing outside but locked in tablet mode. ASUS Taichi has great dual screen technology but terrible screen experience in terms of colour sharpness and vibrance.

thanks bro..
if possible, i'm looking for ultrabook.. slim and light..
how bout acer m5, acer v5 and asus s56cm? is this model ok or just so-so..

Acer V5-471PG, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT710M + (1366x768; touch)@RM2299, 4GB, 500GB, W8

ASUS [Ultrabook] S550CM-XX140H i5-3317U + Nvidia GT635M + 24GB mSATA + 500GB + (1366x768; touch)@RM2499[2.3kg], 4GB, W8

im not sure about acer though but for ASUS, their warranty support is haiz. actually, the lenovo Z400 is pretty slim. they are ultrabook like laptops with consumer line specifications. but the battery performance will be bad compared to other ultrabooks, as it is not an ULV processor.
