What's wrong with Acer? nothing is wrong with acer. just some immature peoples think that branding is part of the quality build, which is irrelevant in quality control. they dont even think that buying electronic items are not 100% guaranteed working perfectly. for more details, you may read sifu [PF]T.J. blog about notebook brandings. for your options :2. QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 17 2013, 09:14 AM) Err... you might need to up your budget to Rm1.5k for a notebook capable of gaming? Around the corner. Hmm.Or perhaps you could wait for more Haswell-powered notebooks which are just around the corner. The new and more powerful integrated graphic card packs a lot more punch than what we have now at the moment When will Haswell chips get to our shores? Any announcement made by local distributors yet? Or inside news? |

Hi , I'm kinda new to computer stuff, so i really need suggestions from you guys...currently looking for laptop
My budget is = 2000 - 2500 Brand = I'm not good at it, but I know most people prefer ASUS i guess? Toshiba? Purpose = Nothing in specific, I need it for gaming, work, movies ... it has to be working flawlessly in multitasking...the graphic has to be high as I wanna play NBA, shooting, racing games that need high graphic. Screen size = Multitouch touchpad with gesture control. Screen 16" to 19" I prefer aluminium body, good protability...touchscreen (optional). A friend of mine suggested me to get a ASUS S500, i was told that the price is around rm2500. |

Don't think its aluminium body though, most notebooks around your budget range doesn't come with an aluminium body (brushed aluminium perhaps). My budget is = 2000 - 2500 Brand = I'm not good at it, but I know most people prefer ASUS i guess? QUOTE(Siew0603 @ Jun 17 2013, 11:17 PM) Hi, All Sifus. actually both shares roughly the same specs, except the screen resolution and hinge design. the acer uses normal hinge with full HD touch screen, and the Yoga 13 uses a 360 degree flippable screen and 1600x900 HD IPS touch screen.Would like to seek for your advice on below two model of laptop. 1. Acer S7-391-53314G1 13 2. Lenovo IdeaPad®Yoga 13 Would like to know which one is better for its performance, battery life and features. Thank you. for performance, both shares about the same. battery life under balanced mode with powermark test, Acer S7 achieves 2 hours and 30 minutes, Yoga 13 is 3 hours and 35 minutes. for features, Yoga 13 has more features compared to Acer S7, due to Yoga 13 ability to convert into tablet mode (thanks to the 360 degree flippable hinge). |
