Are you selling those model? And Macbook is not necesary? sorry i am quite dumb in this kinda techno thing.
The price you stated there included all? Like for Lenova Z400, RM2099 included Nvidia, 4gb, 1tb and all that?

Do you offer any upgrade service?

This is not a seller thread smile.gif Go to garage sales threads to look for re-sellers.
The prices are the RSP (recommended sales price) by the brands. Negotiate with re-sellers for better price.
Yes, the specs are for the price doh.gif
As I said, business softwares are mostly written for Windows OS. You can run MacBook in Windows OS using bootcamp if you like. But your budget will NOT get you a MacBook.

How can anyone tell you which to choose unless you at least tell us what you plan to use it for? icon_rolleyes.gif
Anyway:
Vostro 5460 is the newest model. Also the lightest of the three. Dell has the better warranty support. Upgrade to 3 years for RM250 if you can.
S400 is light as well. The CPU is 2 generation old (Sandy Bridge), but not much different from the i3 of the other 2 models. You may not be able to find this spec easily though (unless re-seller has old stocks).
NP370R4E is also nice. Main difference from the other two is the matte screen (very rare among laptop in this price range). Quite good value.

Performance wise, all 3 should be similar.
So you should go out and look / touch / play / type / carry / scroll / listen to the real things to decide for yourself smile.gif

Hi all,
1. Preferred Brand - Any brand will do (prefer ultrabook)
2. Budget - Below 1.7k. Maximum 1.8k
3. Usage - Course work, movies, web browsing, gaming (just dota 2)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 13'' or 14'' (Light & Thin)
Thanks smile.gif

Not easy to get laptop with "ultrabook" label with your budget smile.gif
But your usage requirement definitely is not demanding. Intel HD 4000 can handle Dota2 smile.gif
Please make sure you have good external cooling solution when you game on (light and thin) laptop  icon_rolleyes.gif

Asus
K46CB-WX060H, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199[2kg], 2GB, 750GB, W8, 4-cell, OD
K46CM-WX059V, i3-3217U + Nvidia GT635M@RM1899[2kg], 2GB, 500GB, 4-cell battery, W7HP, OD

Dell
Vostro 5460, i3-3120M + Nvidia GT630M@RM1949[1.54kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W8SL, 3 cell
Vostro 5460, i5-3230M +Nvidia GT630M@RM1899[1.54kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), Ubuntu 12.04, 3 cell; W8SL@RM2099

HP
Envy4-1238TX, i5-3337U + AMD HD8750M@RM2099[Beats][1.75kg], 2GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W8

Prices are RSP, negotiable.

Err. Then is there any other options? I mean not really need to be thin & light, since my budget is just 1.7k. thanks  notworthy.gif

Negotiate, and those models will come within / very close to your RM1.7k budget smile.gif

As I said, you could play Dota2 with i3 and HD4000, but a discrete GPU never hurt.

If you could consider non-thin/light, then:

Lenovo
G480, i5-3230M + Nvidia GT635M@RM1699, 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), FreeDOS
G400s, i3-3110M + Nvidia GT720M@RM1449, 4GB, 500GB, FreeDOS

Dell
Inspiron 14R, i3-4010U + Intel HD4400@RM1549 [2.32kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W8 , 4 cell

Prices are RSP, NEGOTIABLE smile.gif

Hi guys, I'm looking for laptop/ultrabook that is suitable for web/mobile designer.
I know that majority would recommend Macbook Pro/Air but I don't have that budget sad.gif Plus, I'm used to Windows biggrin.gif

1. Preferred Brand - Lenovo
2. Budget - below RM3k
3. Usage - Using Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing, & programming. Mainly deal with graphics & development, multi-tasking
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 14 inch screen size, light weight (<2.3kg)

Please advise. Thank you smile.gif
