Planning to get a new laptop when I finally start my work. Will be using it for networking purpose and gaming. Games like PES 2013, FIFA 2013, Kingdom of Amalur will be installed.
So which laptop has a good balance between gaming and work?

I know there is no 1.8k ultrabook. My purpose is trying to clarify to XeactorZ that cannot compared with ultrabook with normal laptops, if so do it just like comparing a 5 inch phablet and 7 inch tablet. But why people still buy 5 inch phablet even some 7 inch tablet can make call? because of portability. Same goes to ultrabook.

The difference is the processors, graphics, and the price. Just asking, is it worth the RM300 extra?

Note: I've looking for asus n56vz i7 for quite a long time, and cant find it anywhere....all no stock . I like the levono y500 build quality, it feel solid. However, when i try the touchpad left and right click seem to be unstable...feel like it want to spoiled already.    So headache now, i need some recommendation. Hi guys, I'm looking for a laptop. But before I divulge my preference. Let me tell you about my current laptop.

My current laptop is a 5 year old 14" Dell with a 2.16Ghz C2D and 2GB RAM. My laptop is very basic. Classic theme Windows 7 and I do not play games. I frequently use the VirtualBox to test server config changes on the fly and Microsoft Word; again to write report and process documents on the fly.

For entertainment, I watch movies with VLC player or Media Player Classic and play music with foobar.

The thing I don't really like about my current laptop albeit being a reliable workhorse, is that it's heavy and heats up easily. My current laptop heats up easily when I'm running multiple stuff like VirtualBox, foobar, and multi-tab Chrome.

Now, I don't have any preferred brand. What I'm looking for is something practical, lightweight and portable. Preferably 14". It must be able to do what my current laptop is doing without hiccup with more room to spare. And most importantly, it does not heat up easily.

I'm looking at the Vostro 5460. If there's a similar spec laptop with similar price tag, please do suggest.

I'm actually considering K46CM-i5 by Asus[I] albeit its not touch screen, but i was thinking bout chipping in around  around 1k to see whether i could get an ultra slim laptop with touch screen .

i checked the models that you recomended me , the Asus ultra book and the dell notebook does not have touch screen. im quite interested in the lenovo z400, but it seems quite bulky at 2.4kg...
