Btw.. here's a bit of a nugget for international students who are interested to pursue pharmacy at AIMST.
One of the first batch students' is an international student from Indonesia but she completed her high school education (did O levels) and came up top in her pharmacy class etc. Many many red tape to go through if she wants to work in Malaysia (do the 3 year service). I also don't quite understand exactly what kind of problems she is going through...but just a heads up to those from out of Malaysia who hope to do pharmacy here. Do your homework first! For dentistry, this girl told me that she was told that things would have been easier if she took dentistry instead (which she managed to get a place in, but opted for pharmacy)... but then again, until the first international student graduates from the BDS course, then we will know if it goes well for international students. The most senior BDS international student is in Year 3 (we have some in Year 2 and Year 1 as well...Batch 4 and 5 respectively)... so I hope I can update about their progress when the time comes or maybe their classmates can contribute to this forum. |

QUOTE(lovelysky7 @ May 14 2010, 08:04 PM) ^according to some MBBS student there, the MBBS quality is going down, but hopefully aimst will do something to improve it I think it's not going down. I can see new lecturers coming in. Day by day, I'm getting to know more about my lecturers. Some of the lecturer's research articles are being published in newspapers (not here but India as they are from India). And the published articles are not some ordinary research. So, I could say its improving.for foundation, i think the seats are still available, provided you have the money of course.. you can try to contact aimst & ask them. Added on June 1, 2010, 7:09 pm QUOTE(kirii @ May 29 2010, 01:09 PM) doctors aren't fantastic actually What is not fantastic about doctors?? Only those who stand up to take challenges (either life or death) can be doctors. Not cowards, it's not an easy work to do 36 hours of ON call (min twice a week). When outbreak comes, only doctors there as first hand of help ( knowing the risk that they can be infected too), ask yourself whether you can do that or not? Don't say it's not fantastic. It is, that is why the number of medical schools are growing more and more every year (this year Taylor's and UTAR started) because they know there many who wish to study medicine even after knowing all that they need to face in future. No one had ever predicted well about future....(I dunno about Indonesian Taxi driving doctor, maybe they are doing that as part time job. For GOD sake, doctors pay are higher than a Taxi driver and no one would stop practicing after studying so hard). So, i guess you know whats fancy about doctor now.im ok in both medic and dentistry this world is realistic, interest is part of it,u nid to see how bright the future it is if u wish to study certain courses. Some doctors in Indonesia are driving taxi now sry but no offense This post has been edited by allen89firedragon: Jun 1 2010, 07:09 PM |
