Passing is 50. Scoring above 50 is considered okay already. Final examination is the one that will determine everything.

ok first of all hi everyone I'm a newbie here, spent the last 2 days reading all 105 pages of this forum topic (applause anyone? tongue.gif )

i'm from east msia i sent my application form recently to aimst for BDS with my a-lvl result which was AABB, B for bio and phy, A for chem and maths. I know how competitive this course is in AIMST, and they reserve most of the places for their foundation students. However seeing from what you guys said previously they only give out offer letters in June, and I don't even know whether they will accept me or not? unsure.gif

my next option would be pidc india, it's intake is in April next year, and they told me the result would be quite positive if I apply for it. So i need some opinion on whether I should apply pidc while waiting for my application in aimst? I came to know that aimst bds is much better compared to pidc, but the slow administration is the problem, even if they accept me it would be in june, pidc has started already.

So what should I do? If i fly to kedah and apply again over there, will it be faster or will they give me a confirmation? but my alvl result aint that good..hmm..

thx in advance.

You r most welcome =D internet will not down the whole day... it only applies certain time.... most of the time still available to use.No worries...

Added on November 11, 2009, 2:28 amselection of student for next year bds intake still an early stage. The seats is so limited that only few are left for non foundation student. i suggest you to apply to other university 1st to avoid dissapointment. Then, u will miss the intakes for other university. icon_idea.gif Dent in aimst has it own dental hospital for application of knowledge. So, make a wise choice =D

if you are really interested in dentistry i will suggest u to come to aimst for their foundation course. the lecturer here is capable... entry into dentistry course is competitive if you take a lvl or other pre-u courses because they reserved most of the seat for their foundation students

erm, next year from what i heard there will be more than 800 students studying for foundation. ( approx. 1000, based on AIMST wanting to increase its student population, my own thinking.)

they will be applying for the various seats available.

200- medic
85? - dentistry
60? - pharmacy
around 70+ - biotech
50+ - business
50+ - engineering and IT

if i am not mistaken.

the chances of a person studying A-levels and applying and getting a slot in dentistry is slim. cause JPA will also be fighting for the few slots available.

thus suggest u enter foundation and score well to get the course u desire.

=)
