T_T can't subscribe for streamyx... no Wi-Fi in library, internet connection available though, gotta use lan. (PCs are available there)

aimst is fine so far.. =D honestly, i love aimst... lookinh forward going back mbbs during august.... is just that entertainment is not on par... after all, we are medical student....

gosh.. i'll need a long long LAN cable.. 3 metre cukup kah?? =p

of course am wondering if bringing my modem will work or not.. since itz a LAN cable, dunno it'll connect properly with my modem..

Are all the new MBBS batch staying with each other in the hostel?

As in, all our roomates will be doing MBBS? or will we be assigned with other senior students as well.

Since only during registration day, our hostel rooms are set.

hostel have 1 lan connection, so need to buy modem to share connection...

so far i know mbbs aimst is only recognised by mmc. but i heard about uk and us external examination...
so if take the external examination, do aimst medical graduate stand a chance to be recognised by oversea medical council?

I'm enrolling for MBBS August intake.. *very excited*

From what the warden tells me, the students doing degree courses will be put in the same hostel. That is, you will not share rooms with foundation students. You might or might not get other roommates who are doing MBBS as well, depending on your luck. Most of the time, the senior students either shift out of the hostel or they take the rooms with less people, like 3/2/1 in a room. So, very unlikely you will be assigned to rooms with seniors.

For the seniors in AIMST out there, especially those doing MBBS..

Can I know what to expect during the orientation week?? And how long will it be? A week? So we should be starting class the next week, right? What should we bring to AIMST? Any particular books? Will we need to use notebook during classes?

Just to add on to my long list of questions.. Haha.. This is a weird question but they say we need to wear long-sleeve white shirt n long black pants/skirt for the orientation week.. So do they expect us to wear it everyday during the orientation?? *gasps* And what do we wear for registration, if anyone knows? Finally, it is stated that we're allowed to wear jeans, does this apply to all students? Does MBBS student have different dress code, i.e formal wear everyday? Gosh, I think I'll get a headache just packing the bare essentials for university..

I think this only applies to the first day of orientation week(the day after registration day). We shall follow the dress code of the Student Residence for the rest of our orientation week (in fact the rest of our life in aimst)

Nope, many other factors are taken into consideration as well. Such as recommendation from other parties, imigration rules etc. Therefore, it's a really long and expensive pathway for you. But, of course there is the chances you will succeed.


Orientation week will mostly introduce you to the course and school. There's a session called "seniors orientation" though, thats where you have fun. And yup you'll be starting class in the following week. Notebook are not needed for class, powerpoint presentation by lecturers will be projected onto the screen. Welcome to AIMST.

Nope, only one day. Cause you need to take pictures for your student ID. For female, you can wear almost everything, as long as it is not very revealing. For males, you need to wear formal with tie everyday.

Registration just casual wear, but with long pants. You only have parents orientation on that day, rest of the say will have you settled down in the campus.
