Actually can try to play lego with her. Let her build some polybag series 1st. Movie theme is the best to start becoz they know what/who is it (Batman, LOTR, Advenger). After that start to let her build some big set. Although maybe they choose the set you want, try not to talk so much and also don't comment so much of the way they build. Build wrong or they choose the set you want also nvm. Becoz the good part in Lego is you can "dismantle" it and "rebuild" it. Try to encourage her more than said her build wrong/ suck. (Now all my polybag & minifig build by my wife)

After that let her know more on Lego things. Let her know Lego is not only for children. How the adult "play" lego (MOC).

And let her know that this toy can pass to next generation. Is good to let children play lego/bricks then play Iphone  tongue.gif .

Although my wife not so support to buy (still consider expensive toy). But so far didn't angry or turn face when I bought. Just said "Control pls, don't over spend."  laugh.gif

Great advice smile.gif notworthy.gif Actually it really fun to play Lego, despite some (or most) of us has grown up.. the enjoyment that I had is seeing those little little pieces put together and finally finished the car / truck / structures. Then I roll them on the floor for awhile then I safekeeping it. Even now I still roll them on the floor.. tongue.gif

I wanted to buy some Lego set now and keep so in the future, they can play the Lego that was once played by their dad and feel the joy and excitement that I had previously when I was a kids....

The set that I always wanted is 6268 Renegade Runner which I wanted to buy, but no $$ to buy back then.... now there's one on its way to my house smile.gif

Yeah, it's just plastic toys. Too petty to cause a strain in a relationship. But these stuff are not cheap. One just has to buy according to one's budget. Otherwise, you'll end up eating maggie mee for some time.

And in a relationship, it's best to communicate. Know what your partner is concerned about. Accept his/her strengths and weaknesses. Just don't expect him/her to accept you for who you are. Otherwise, you wouldn't be you. However, when it comes to money issues, it tends to get complicated.

Whatever it is, family members/loved ones come first before toys. They are the ones who would be with you for your entire life. Moth and rust destroy toys.
