By weight you seem alright but what do you mean by "Balanced" weight? A typical layman will use BMI to gauge. However if you are seriously into BB or BS, BMI is out of the topic. Why not you post your pic so that others will be able to participate in giving you some opinions smile.gif

this thread leads to no where if u don't post a pic as a reference. I mean everyone's body is different. and if u want advise on improvement, showing a pic of urself is a good start.

For good weight, target for bmi of 20 to 24 .... so for height of 1.67 your weight should be around 60 - 65 kg ... but if you bodybuild bmi of 25-26 is ok. I myself with bmi of 25++ i bodybuild for fun.

just join a gym and really commit yourself into it. That way, youll learn the things around and climb your way up eventually. How long it takes is really up to you and your lifestyle. Watch your diet smile.gif

I'm exactly the same weight as you, currently around 63kg, and I still believe I'm small, wanna grow bigger. You're asking this question because you want to look better right? Don't use "weight" as a measurement, use the mirror instead.

Cheers!

No offense taken bro. I'm 167cm (not tall at all). Used to be overweight last year. After cutting lost muscle mass. Now trying and learning to build. I see you have built a strong and solid body Janson, do you have any advice for a beginner?

I'm trying my best to eat 5-6 meals a day, get at least 25g of protein per meal.

Cheers!

A friend of mine uploaded his progress photo at bodybuildermalaysia.com and seems to be pretty pumped up and motivated in his course now. He hired a personal bodybuilder! Tells me many things that he learn and has to unlearn wrong methods that jeopardize results.

Ello... Mass loss is an expensive lesson learn smile.gif To build a few kgs of solid mass needs lots of investment, sweat and blood.. Play the game smartly bro. Don't let others influence your goals. IMO, you will be looking great to have a beach body smile.gif

Same here.

Current height: 168cm

Weight before bulking 30th April 2013: 65kg

Current weight: 74kg

Overweight now but who cares? As long as you build up more muscle mass, fats can settle later rclxms.gif

To TS, remember to eat clean, rest well and carry heavy (get a spotter if can). icon_idea.gif

Guys, can we get 6 pack by working out hard on other part of the body? Say if i hate doing sit up soooo much, that i could probably do arms, chest, legs really heavily? Just wondering.. still new in this. smile.gif
*
I will try answering this to my best knowledge. Do correct me if I am wrong though, it is always good to learn.

Anyhoo. Yes, and no.

Yes because you can get noticeable abs by reducing your body fat percentage, and this could be done through your arms/chest/legs workout as well because every single exercise burns fats (the question then is to determine whether it is the most efficient method of doing so).

And no because once your body fat level has reached around 8-10%, you will get the kind of abs thin people have. Anyone can tell it is there, but it does not have that 'defined look'. If you want your abs to be more prominent (is this the correct word? lol), then you will have to do some kind of exercise (IE, sit ups, planks, etc etc) that targets/works your abs.

Hope it helps!

ok. it's extremely hard to judge given all your pose are at certain angle which may create an illusion that you are bigger than you actually are. as long as u see progress, keep doing what you do. when u start to realise u are thinner than that dude, it's time to add a lil mass. keep improving your poundages and the mass will come with correct diet.

yes eat more, there is no way u can get bigger with only high protein diet and low for the rest.
perhaps u might wanna consider bulking soon, then only cut.

Don't mean judgmental, but it seems like you should read up more on bodybuilding bro. Take some time to read the stickies. Pretty much EVERY question can be answered in the stickies.

If you want to get big, you need to eat carbs. Building muscle takes the right combination of macronutrients. It's not a "protein-only" magic trick.
