One the book and the current leak specs, it seems awesome
bundled HD kinect with minimum 0.5m distance are great for us with limited space. Also better movement detection in low light also is a plus Swapping apps/games instantly? another plus But always on connection required to launch games & launch apps? a major minus for me with crappy internet access here? And if they were to really implement this.... I won't be buying the Durango until they remove that feature Sos chili: http://kotaku.com/the-next-xbox-will-requi...to-st-470062456 This post has been edited by greyshadow: Apr 5 2013, 10:40 AM |

Don't you think that the always-on feature is intended to keep the leak at minimum? And since all Durango ever availables are only for developers and no one outside the circle have it, I'd say 50-50 that the always on is a mandatory.bundled HD kinect with minimum 0.5m distance are great for us with limited space. For me, my biggest concern is how they intend to implement DRM on retail discs. One of the main reasons for why I'm more a console gamer is because on console, i can lend and share my games with family members and friends. I can buy used games and you (specifically Personally, I don't think mandatory always online will happen. Having said that, it might be a dick move but it might mean a more active online community in the long run. |

An always online requirement isn't that bad for players that has stable connection. as long as you can still game during offline after first verify online of the game you have its good to go.
Anti Piracy/Hack/Cheat is probably the first priority for this next gen console. |

Continuous connection is ok for me , just that malaysian internet service really shitty and expensive . So very hard to keep up with fast internet users and the world.

yeah... no backward compatibility is a bad news for hoarder like us
need to switch between 2 consoles to play diff gen games... even worst for multi-console players, imagine switching between Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox360, Xbox720 anyway... on a side note since both next gen console are going for the x86 platform, similar to PC so it means it will be much easier to emulate those games on PCs?? Last time it's difficult to emulate xbox/PS1/PS2 because diff platform, the PC CPU has pump out extra power to emulate diff platform but now it's similar, hence less effort to emulate the CPU, so just need to emulate the GPU, hence easier?? will next gen sees PC gamer playing PS4/Xbxo720 titles on PC also?
