According to this statement released by IGN, Blu-ray drive and games must be installed first to play. I'm sure PlayStation 4 is the same too.

And I quote,"Play from the optical disc will not be supported." Anyone wants to go a go on this quote?

I'm just hoping Microsoft won't change this sentence. I would love to install the game and play without the disc itself.

The hard drive capacity isn't an issue though I think 320GB would be enough.

And a new high-fidelity Kinect sensor..I wonder..

Advantage over PlayStation 4? Same hardware but a little better from XBOX 360.

That just mean that game MUST be installed to play. No playing games from disc like we're used to on Xbox 360.

oh crap~~~ means I'll have to install every single games into the HDD first before I can play them

no more just pop in the new disc for few minutes fun then change back to your usual game

normal DVD already took around 10-15mins per disc for the installation, bluray full install?
can up to 1 hour???
if that's the case, lets hope we can do a background install while we play other game or perform other tasks, unlike the current gen there's nothing much you can do while installing

Also if installing is mandatory, I wonder how they are going to enforce the no 2nd hand game policy only method I can think of is thru online registration, either tie the game unique ID to the console via a centralized database, or via a one time activation code thru online again....
So no more offline play?

E3 is quite near..3 more months to be precise though. We shall see. But what I heard is that Microsoft will be having some sort of party like how Sony did it last month.

Hopefully,there will be some good news in the coming months about the new Durango or XBOX 720.

I'm still not sure about the name but once I get my info, I'll announce it here. It maybe a new name or maybe they will stick with XBOX 720.

definitely not april. Official announcement will be on E3 that sometime in july, although there will be some rumors by then. I believe production will start at mid-year and supplies will be out earliest by Q4 2013 to NA. Other Countries most likely will be distributed later period.

One of the biggest advatage over PS4 is the Move engine and the Display plane is one plane extra than PS4 so the game menu will never look out of place.

Next Generation of console actually do have some limitation that does not exist during XBOX360 times but it should be overcome by the x86-64 architecture.

Once again we will see a similar capability yet different from both Microsoft & Sony..... I always wonder how they met almost the same team from the same vendor to come out with same type of product for the 2nd consecutive time....?

They don't. They're direct competitor. I just wonder how they met up the same vendor again and the vendor willing to sell same architecture yet different design concept product.

they did it on PS3 & XBOX CPU with some drama within STI Alliance (as IBM selling the same concept to Sony's direct competitor. This story was written in a book titled The Race for a New Game Machine)

sony and MS does not want to take any risk due to uncertain of the future of gaming. therefore use existing hardware, as most of us know that developers develop games on PC architecture.

Maybe coz they working on the same technology yet different customer requirement???
