just got mine today. white color. but that marroon color is damm smexy. lol

can anyone make a list what apps to install?
i never use android. changing from blackberry. so kinda dizzy.
*
Too many apps and it all depends on personal preferences. You can check around all the other phone model threads, they will usually have a section on "apps to install".

You can start with Whatsapp, it's a popular replacement for SMS. Go to Play Store and download whatever you want, although please understand the Permissions an app asks during install.

** WARNING ESPECIALLY TO NOOBS **

Scam Alert: Don't Get Duped By Root-Android.com
http://www.androidpit.com/scam-alert-don-t...oot-android-com

user posted image

Just a PSA to anyone out there thinking of rooting their devices: don't trust any site that wants to charge you to use their software.

A prime example is "Root-Android.com." This site claims to be able to "root any device" using a single piece of software for the low, low price of $30. But does it actually work?

The problem is there is no single piece of software that can root any phone model without any input needed from the user. Rooting instructions are drastically different depending on your carrier and model, and you should be wary of any website that says it can root your device "with a single click." Especially if that site wants to charge you.

Root-Android.com preys on the inexperienced and uninformed. Knowing that the majority of new phone owners don't really know what "rooting" is, they've filled their website with erroneous information about what rooting can do for your phone. The site lists "screen shot" as one of their top ten apps that require root because "it's a sad fact that Android shops with no way to take a screenshot." In fact, that hasn't been true since Gingerbread.

Not OT gua...
I don't use FF on the phone, but will probably give it a spin sometime. Using the stock browser and occasionally Chrome or Opera. Stock is good.

OMG... FF 3 is pre-historic .....

I usually update it about 3 weeks after a new version is released. This gives all those early adopters sufficient time to raise all the alarms and to determine if it is a worthwhile update or not.

yes, pre-historic.. but i like the old way it used to be  cry.gif

guess i should update to latest version now?  cry.gif  cry.gif
*
For a browser, you should update since the old versions tend to have holes that need patching, and the support for new web technologies is absent.

OT = Off Topic

Problem is will it drop immediately or have to wait.. say one month?
*
What's with all this price drop business? It's not like Gold that will rise and fall. Technology has no "intrinsic" value.
Just forget what you paid after buying it.

Buying at low price will have less butt hurt than buying at the launch price hmm.gif rm1799 vs rm2299 ....sme sad.gif

But buying at low price means approaching obsolescence ... a hard juggle. Of course it doesn't mean that an obsolete phone cannot make calls, or install apps.

AP seems possible. SME should be 1299 +/-

S3 will have much broader support and a larger community.

what do u think on s3? the motherboard still got issue again or they fix it already?
*
Should already be fixed. Although you shouldn't waste money, but I don't think you need to be that uptight either tongue.gif since you can buy as many phones as you want, even a FEW Vertus whistling.gif

but i dislike things that had been repaired or replaced

thats why its right time for me to go for S3 and Note 2
*
It's not the board, but rather the firmware on one of the chips. In terms of manufacturing improvement, they swap out the faulty chip from the process line.

*
Pixel density both phones at the same pixel count but one is a smaller screen so it will be denser.
