During Gingerbread days, it was a good app. I don't think it's necessary anymore. I had problems with it and uninstalled after a while in my Note 1.

S3 or the Note 2 has a small "bling" sound when it's fully charged, I don't remember which phone.

Poor fellow and his dad hopefully didn't get conned with a fake S3. Should get him to run Antutu on the S3 and we should know. Real S3 should get 12k++ IINM. The fake will be less than 10k.

I've seen a fake S3 with, well, maybe a FAKE Antutu (v2.8.2) posting about 9k. However it showed the CPU as SMDK4x12, but the GPU was a PowerVR 531. That was the giveaway.

No idea but shd choose the one with higher scores and least number of permissions. Wakelocks will depend on whether it's coded properly or not

Just bluetooth all yr contacts over. Sms n notes I think u need to backup viapc suite tthenkeep a copy of nbkexplorer or was it nbuexplorer handy for viewing.

Some things, I do not know or do not really care, since I ignore it tongue.gif You can IGNORE the OTA request. You can perhaps disable it by DISABLING it in the App Manager.

My philosophy is, I paid for my device, I control what runs on it. So, root and custom kernels/ROMs are the way to go.

Root it and you are guaranteed no more OTA updates.
