This might be a little off topic but anyone got problem with SMS/caller id recognition with these chinese phone? Or is it the bug in android itself

I saved my contact numbers in "0123456789" format and incoming caller id are able to recognize it but it failed to recognize incoming SMS which come in this format with country code "+60123456789".

Then I try to fix this by changing my contact saved to include country code that look like this - "+60123456789" the incoming SMS shows the name of the sender correctly since the incoming message always in "+60123456789" format but incoming call aren't able to recognize that format so when somebody call me it would show "0123456789" instead of name.

So why is it incoming call are in "0123456789" format but incoming SMS are in "+60123456789"? This would cause multiple SMS thread from same person if I text someone using "0123456789" since their SMS reply would be in "+60123456789" format

You may check gravity box....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316070
It is common for china phone as Caller ID mismatch...
I use the gravity box and it can fix it. It has other mod too...

Xiaomi Mi3 is just damn awesome.... drool.gif

You know with the joining of Hugo Barra... It wont be long when Xiaomi will be world wide available just like Lenovo or Huawei.
A serious plus for us in malaysia. rclxms.gif

FINALLY!!! biggrin.gif

From Gizchina.com: http://www.gizchina.com/2013/09/05/xiaomi-...dragon-800-320/

"...5-inch 1080 display, 13 mega-pixel rear camera with F2.2 aperture, 3050mAh battery, 128mps writable memory, 2GB RAM and a choice of either a Snapdragon 800 chip or Nvidia Tegra 4 processor (keeping everyone happy), NFC, 5Ghz WIFI etc..."

Well, no LTE. Anyway, pricie 1999 CNY = RM1077.78++ (still under rm1.5k)

What is the fuss with LTE guys?
I'm using 3G and even that is not all places covered.
But when it does, it still as fast as i think enough.
Plus this is not Unifi. Fast with a limited amount of Data allocated is not an ideal combination.

And with the price around RM1100+-, i dont really care much about LTE as it already has premium build and spec.

Magnesium alloy body + Snapdrgn 800 + 2GB Ram + 16GB Rom + 3050maH + 13mp Sony f/2.2 rear camera wit sapphire glass and dual LED

But i still gonna wait until it is officially available here. because if it is not, then the price will jack up to rm1500++

nothing to rush. biggrin.gif

Well that'll depend. I have unlimited data for mobile so I'd prefer 4g. The 4g speed here over my place is 2x 3g. That does make a huge difference.

Got my Jiayu G4 Basic Turbo yesterday.

Will give it a run for a week before judging anything about it.
