Hi....have a questions on ocv...hope somebody can clarify...

1. Is it only used  for cfe or for both cps & cfe?
2. If used for both, are they the same part no.?

Just want to make sure the sc changed the right part for my car....since i felt my car response not as  pickup  as before they  replace the ocv... Or is it just my own feeling..thx
*
Maybe they did a reprogramming on the ecu without you knowing it? Could be.

Just read through the V1 thread of the exora bold.

Looks like so many problems rclxub.gif

But now here in V2, seems like everything is perfectly fine..?
*
You wouldn't get no free problems car. I can say problems had been reduced since V1.

QUOTE(EBOLD @ Aug 2 2013, 12:45 PM)
hi,

i just did 40000km servis for EB CFE. Complained about jerking, the mechanic reflash TCU. then, got problems with engine mapping. after starting the engine, it will rev from 900 to 1100 briefly 3 to 4 times before idling.

Then the mechanic tried to remap the ECU. but then he wanted to change the map sensor. Since in Taiping, the part must be ordered first. I came with fewer problems, but left with more worries.

Another problem: Rear brakes give squeaking sound. The mechanic open the brake pads, showed me some dust in the groove on the pad. He said, cleaning it will eliminate the unwanted sound. But, as expected, the squeaking sound is still there.
Any help or experience from forumer?
*
I do have that squeaky sound but didn't care much about it. As long as it works fine but end of this year i'll change it to Bendix brake pads and steel braided hose as well.

only the turbo CFE engine got that loud fan sound right? or even the CPS model also have?
*
What type of engine oil (mineral/semi/full) you use also depends how often your exora cfe fan is turn on while ignition off.

just sharing my experience, semi/Fully sync oil (esp. SHELL/Torco) after some hard driving and shut off the engine, the autofan kicks in for less than 40sec. Mineral base oil it will do more like a min or two.

bro, can give your thoughts about autofoam for exora? Is it worth it? Big difference?
*
For chasis autofoaming the different is handling. not much flex during tight corners. it won't roll soo much then before. Give me more confident while cornering.

The other thing is if you're driving fast it is stable as hell, you won't feel your mpv float and I'm just using standard/stock absorber which is going to be 2 years old.

bro, where u bought the stiff rings??.. already have for exora??.. i only do ultra racings stabalizers, absorbers, n open pod only.. huahua..
*
Stiff Rings installed kat http://www.kaitenazracing.com/

The Stiff Rings same as Preve's so it's fits well. For those driving Exora Bold cfe having their sterring always lari to left abit even numerous times you do alignment, this will fix it permanently.

Also add to my list mod list:

1. Autofoam chasis
2. Installed Racechip S
3. Stiff Rings
4. Simota Drop-in Air Filter

*
Bro, i changed them once at 20,000km (one of the plugs not good). That time i'd used the same NGK ILKAR7G7 but you may cross reference see whether any brand does the same.

For the stiff rings around RM230-250.

I looked up on internet and there is this one website Stiff Ring by Speed Mod Motorsport (SA0050479-M). They quote RM240 front kit for exora, plus RM50 installation at Cheras HQ. Front kit implies there are other kits as well? How many rings do we need?

Thanks
*
Yes Cheras is the place where the stiff ring is born. But i installed them at Sunway one of the mod shop => http://www.kaitenazracing.com

For our Bold cfe it only uses 4 stiff ring which is bolted to the front chasis (engine bay part).
