anywayz.....

Redline Non-Slip Synthetic CVT oil works very well with my EB other then Proton recommended below oil:

1. Esso Mobil EZL 799A (Hard to find here. Anyone got this?)
2. Demitshu CVTF-EX1 (Paramount Proton Edaran)
3. Petronas Tutela CVT-PPT (could be the same as Tutela CVT NG)

Monitoring the CVT temperature about 80-90'C during traffics and 78'C during cruising.

Interesting. Did proton permit those oil without voiding warranty? How you monitor CVT oil temperature? With ELM327 tools kah?
*
Number 1 and 3 seems legit, not sure about 2 but the guy from Proton Edaran Genuine Spare Parts shop told me that Demitshu CVTF-EX1 also can use for our Bold CVT transmission. Which he is selling it also so i assume this is legit as well.

The truth is do you know what CVT oil is Proton SC using when you bring for service?

As for Redline Non-Slip Synthetic CVT technical data shows that Mini use Esso CVT EZL 799 oil for their cvt transmission (ECVT - ZF / CVT VT1-27T). Same vicosity as Redline which compatible with CVT 3.

ELM327 shows you alot of data, it is a very good tool to get for diagnostic (RM45 +/-) and download Torque Pro from Google Play.

My spare tyre rims is the typical spare-tyre type of design. Not the same design as the rims fitted onto the wheels  smile.gif

Only a week free from that burning smell? How old is your EB now?

I don't really dare to rev the engine more than 3k rpm yet. For now just above 2k rpm is more than enough power for me brows.gif

Does anyone know why and where does the burning smell come from???  rclxub.gif
*
I got that same smell when i got mine for the first time. Don't worried bout it.

Well mine is Stiff Ring (rm250) + Labor (RM50) = RM300

Im not sure whether it is necessary you need alignment but i didn't do any. The installer advice me not necessary unless your original alignment are already out la.

I had this problem and it's still going on.Need to keep cranking the engine but it does not start.Only the 3rd time it starts.Dont know if because of refueling too much petrol or what..some people say valve problem. Also the fuel pump price is RM350.
*
I also encountered this issue during cold start only. What i did was to change the engine oil to 5w40 ( full synthetic) which SC only uses 10w30 or 10w40. The results i can't say that the problem is gone but i can crank the engine up during 1st startup easily now then before.

Since you're a sales agent for proton, do you know what's the price/place to fix the side-mirror? left side mirror cannot close if you press the auto-fold button and there's a loud "kreeeekkkk" sound.

side mirror problem not a defect but human error. Wife took the exora to 1U for polish and they f**king force the side mirror to close by hand mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif ... ANyway if you know it will help alot.

THanks

if u are a diy person, can open/dismantled the side mirror internal.
i think might be the gear out of 'alignment' bcoz of the force fold.

Something like this. The silver tank above power steering fluid reservoir.
user posted image

"Vacuum pump for brake booster, operated via electric. Normal cars get vacuum for the brake from the engine. Without vacuum the brake pedal will feel very hard. Suprima has Electric Vacuum Pump as a supplement to vacuum from the engine. This allows vaccum the moment the car is primed to start. In Preve & Suprima, you need to press the brake pedal before starting the engine. After an overnight the vacuum will leak causing harder brake pedal when you try to start the engine in the morning. The issue goes away after the engine starts.

With EVP, you won't get this. Therefore they can install Hill Start Assist (car brakes when on a slope so that you don;t slide behind when trying to move the car). It also relieves the engine from providing vacuum boost to the brake at low RPM, causing more power available to move the car instead of powering the ancillaries. This makes Suprima a bit faster than Preve at low RPMs." Quote from somewhere.
