during combat, u dont check. it's all muscle memory and tactical training. it's the red zone. there was no reason to believe that there are children around. the enemy combatants moved from one house to the other. from our perspective, there's no difference from the first house to the next - they're all shelters.

just so happen that the last house they entered were the ones with children. shots were fired to clear the house. remember, there's no reason to suspect anyone else apart from the two idiots were in the house. we didnt even know that there were food supplies stored there.

the two adults drew fire to a house with 3 children. stupid idea, since they kept returning fire from that house. and even more stupid, since the house is just timber house with paper thin walls.

yup its ok coz its their parents fault (their parents got fully armed too) bring their child in war...u got problem with that?

media is just as accurate as the person reporting it. and they dont report it at the same time. some report as soon as they got the source, others wait and compile it into a justifiable story.

the first guy just reported 4 lanun killed. he didnt have time to check who the lanuns are.

the 2nd guy checked, and then published his report.

is that too hard to compute? or are u just thick?

Yang dimana laporan yang sama juga mengatakan bahawa yang empat lanun tu terdiri daripada 2 dewasa dan 2 kanak kanak. Itu pun susah nak paham ke?

On Live TV , they mention the whole incident , every details include the fatalities.
It's someone else fault mention something else.

no. read again. newspaper report, published by different people, different time, different publication.

what we know for sure is that the newspaper consistently quoted him. but we do not know for sure if they quoted the exact same thing, or two different announcements by the same person. if u put it in a timeline, u'll understand better how journalism works.

for example, the general, with minimal information, made an announcement that 4 lanun shot dead at 12pm.
+ journalist A published immediately.
+ journalist B waited for further story.

3 hours later (at 3pm), the same general made another announcement, now saying 2 of the people shot dead were kids.
+ journalist A did not publish because of his publication window was up.
+ journalist B published this new information.

remember that day when our men shot at a movement in the bushes by the roadside, and a man and a 15 year old boy died? both unarmed!

our army of hundreds, with all the support of modern weaponry. i would expect them to have better operational methods to weed out the sulu gunmen, not be itchy fingers and shoot at movements in the bushes. dont ask me how to better do it, i did not study in west point, but our generals should have proven tactics already in front of them.
