QUOTE(Leon5271 @ Mar 12 2013, 04:44 PM) hi guys, Hi Leon, currently im driving a trition 2.5 A/T. 2009. it now gives me some problem. 1)when someone is sitting on the rear seat. it creates some sound. and nowadays, the leaf springs behind starts to emit some squeking sound as well. i have tried spraying WD-40 to the joints but it doesnt work. 2) when i start the car in the morning. the aircon gaves out some burnt smell. but after awhile it will be gone. im wondering if anyone have the same issue? was going to send to mitsubishi service centre. just hope to get some opinion here first.=) thanks. I am driving 2012 2.5 AT. Got that sound after two weeks I got it. Sent in for 1k service, complained to mechanic at SC, he removed bush from the leaf spring. Noise gone. Burnt smell not sure, but my air con doesn't seem to be cold at times. Will file a complaint on next service. |

QUOTE(MeToo @ Mar 13 2013, 02:42 PM) Huh how come yoru VGT so pricey.. i thought around 110k only? Wow! Must be something wrong with my fc on my 2.5AT non-vgt. I clock in around 600km. Is this a problem? How to fix it?Anyway... I noticed on the first page someone mentioned got 6 airbags? But I check Mitsu site only shows 2 airbags? I'm actually looking for a pickup for casual day 2 day use... hence the most important (apart from looking macho la) would be comfort & safety. I doubt I would ever use it to haul any stuff or carry any cargo (apart from golf bags or travelling luggage I'm looking at Hilux.. Ranger... Triton... still undecided. Any tips and pointers you guys can provide would be great! |

Golf set weighs 30kg. It's on the back seat.
I've installed a boot lid and I am on 17", maybe that's why. |

QUOTE(Poodlepaddly @ Mar 16 2013, 10:56 AM) Yes. My friend who is driving an Estima told me his RM100 fuel tank can only goes up to 280-300km max. Thats about 33 cent per km. 4WD are really saving in FC. That's crazy man! I once borrowed my friends Range Rover for the weekend. Gas alone cost me close to 400, as his car only drinks Ron97. From that day on, no more Range Rover for me unless free gas. |

QUOTE(boylkk @ Mar 21 2013, 01:43 AM) Hi bro, Gotta agree, the plastic roll bar looks damn bad shape man. Cutting cost to give new feature I guess.yes, it is an unregistered new unit and just being delivered to show room. I forgot to take photo of it. 2013 VGT has side mirror indicator, auto foldable side mirror and the plastic roll bar. |

QUOTE(Poodlepaddly @ Mar 25 2013, 12:49 PM) This is what I would look for in a sc or membership subscription. After sales service is becoming an important criteria when buying cars nowadays. Glad Mitsubishi are working on this direction. All MIT SC are run by the same people right? Any diff if I bought from Orion Star and service my car at a diff company? |

QUOTE(Poodlepaddly @ Mar 25 2013, 10:29 PM) From what i have seen, each SC is run by different SC manager and mechanics. If unlucky, you might meet up with some SC with sloppy SC manager or mechanics who are newbie and possibly messed up your ride. When one mechanic messed up, they have 2 choice. 1. admit they are new and its their fault. 2. Blame it on the stock unit. 3. Pretend nothing happened and pass your ride back to you. I personally have meet no. 2 and 3. Mechanic experience differ from one person to another. If you can meet a good SC, stick to it. There are just too many people in the forum posting their bad experience in SC, regardless of brands (toyota, honda, Mitsubishi search it and u will find out). Thanks man. I usually send to Glenmarie, that place is full of Tritons, but pity mechanics there. They are catering between 30-35 units each day. Doubt their heart and focus is there after going through so many units daily.Personally I went out of Mitsu SC after completing 40k milleage. For me, any major issue from stock unit that could happen, would already happen/appear within the first 40k. Any after that the claim process will be more tedious as they say you have done this and that etc. And also i wasnt happy with the low quality petronas black oil that i saw them pouring into my ride. I requested for a better black oil but find their price is much higher, which i can get easily 30-40% cheaper outside. Also i have my own trustable foreman to do the service maintenance. Just individual preference. (thats why i said some, and not all above The mechanic I think sian dy, he told me Glenmarie is like GH for Triton. Thoughts please guys. Pros and cons of Glenmarie. |

QUOTE(acbc @ Apr 9 2013, 10:57 PM) Stock tends to stick causing an engine stall or loss of power on acceleration. Possible due to our poor diesel quality. The one from Isuzu is heavy duty and came from a lorry (supposedly can stand lousy diesel). Thanks acbc. Is this common with our Triton? Warranty covers? My Truck is just about touching 10k km. this is worrying man? Anything can be done under warranty period?Installed Vector, used for about 2k km. feeling the power diff, had to take out for servicing. Will this cause the SCV to give way faster? Notice black smoke though, how do I reduce this? Lower setting? |

QUOTE(victor87 @ Apr 24 2013, 11:17 PM) Ok, i have 3 commonrail in my family, speaking based on my experience. I usually pump at Petronas as they have a better reach. Think Petronas has fresher diesel as they are consumed more by trucks.Shell tends to emit more black smoke, power so so, FC gooding. Petronas emit less black smoke, power ok, FC ok. Caltex emit the lesser smoke, power gooding but FC higher than the two. Mobil / Esso, hardly pump because most of their nozzle handle very dirty coz mainly pump by big lorry whom company got esso card. Cannot comment much. Depending on which Gas station you pump at, if pumped at Federal Highway stations or Bukit Jelutong stations, they are usually out of quota as every station has allocation monthly. These stations are pumped by trucks, therefore fresher. A lot of diesel owners don't recommend us to pump at housing area, as they have the least heavy truck traffic = diesel not fresh. As I live in Ara, the diesel at Petronas so far so good. My Triton 2.5(A) is Vector chipped, I get around 720-750km on city driving. If highway around 800km ++. Chipped truck confirm black smoke lor when accelerate. Good for smaller cars tail gating you. Let them eat some diesel |

QUOTE(victor87 @ Apr 25 2013, 06:09 PM) Allow higher pressure in the common rail and also increase the limits for the commonrail system. Can tune higher power... In other words drive our wheels off? The Vector gives out more than enough power! Also enough black smoke for tailgaters Haven't dyno the truck yet, Victor can you advise what sort of power diff we are looking after vectoring a 2.5 Auto? |

QUOTE(chinleong @ Apr 25 2013, 11:14 PM) I have been following this thread for quite some time. Oh damn! That's very unfortunate. Symptoms of SCV. Heard depending on luck dude. It could be gearbox issue. Can you guys please share what are the significant symptom of SCV issue? I realized that my 3 weeks old Triton VGT can hardly hit above 2k RPM for city drive, is this consider as powerloss? Thank you |

QUOTE(Yong_5290 @ May 3 2013, 12:55 AM) Hi all triton sifu , recently i bought a second hand 2008 triton milage around 60k kms Sounds like mechanical problem. Better check at SC. The first issue sounds like SCV issue. Retract back earlier pages, suspect that's one.Now it has engine check lights on , and when fully throttle , rpm goes up to 3k rpm then suddenly no power at all and black smoke coming out a lot from exhaust . Have no time to send for checking yet . another funny thing is the immobilizer. if i put in key , scan the immobilizer and start straight away then it works like normal , but if i put key in,turn to ignition , scan immobilizer then only start , when moving the car like drag on the the gear. kind of like hug on a particular gear dont know for what reason that i have to let go the trottle completely or accelerate very little only it will shift up help needed sifus Second one, I have experienced before. Try using your spare key, as previous owner might have dropped the keys and cracked immobilizer sensor in the key. If that's the issue, gonna be costly. Either remove immobilizer and don't use one, or replace which is quite costly. Just pray spare key works. Good luck and keep us all posted. |
