Hi Gan, THANK YOU very much for recommending me CLLI years ago, this is the 5th time it has protected my equipments from surge, super reliable product, even better than Belkin or APC.  notworthy.gif  rclxms.gif  flex.gif
Now onto business, got a few questions regarding the DSL series before I buy.

1. Which CLLI got power + DSL protection (2 in 1) can support streamyx 8mbps?
2. Can SP 9201-DSL support streamyx 8mbps?

I plan to buy SP 9201-DAF + MDSC-0039, but am considering 2 in 1 solution if got any. Want to protect streamyx, telephone and notebook.

Please advise, thanks in advance.
*

1. You can use SF9512DSL, SF9812DSL or TRM-NIF-IT-BU
2. All Cal-Lab model can support ADSL2 even, so not issues for 8mbps smile.gif

if combination of SP 9201-DAF + MDSC-0039, you may consider TRM-NIF-IT-BU as built-in ADSL splitter filter smile.gif

Hi ,
may i know what's the different between WP-1-PLA+NIF  and  WP-1-PLA+MD-NIF ?
both of them can be to use with homeplug powerline ethernet right?

also  i find out there's many type in "pro-series for networking" cal-lab products. pls recommend which to use for protect LAN cat5e network cable.
abt installation, can i connect the green wire to any 3pin adaptor's earth line?

pls pm the price. thanks.
*

MD with longer power cable.
PLA series supported homeplug power line

SLAN8CG supported gigabit connection but the rest of model only up to 100mbit.
The green wire will ground onto any cal-lab power module such as MDSC0039 to TNB earthing.

Bro, can you recommend me the suitable model for the following setup:

Setup 1 : TV + unifi (BTU + Hypptv + wifi router + dect phone) + NAS

Setup 2 : streamyx adsl wifi router + telephone

I also would like to ask since the cal lab product mainly has 1 and 2 sockets, is it safe to use normal plug extension with multi sockets after cal lab so i can plug all devices in one setup?
*

the unifi input is copper or fiber optic?
any wired lan cable connected on wifi router to server other networked PCs at other location?

QUOTE(genkis3 @ Feb 26 2015, 01:38 PM)
- SLAN8CG can use with SFTV9622FC which without module? can direct join the wire to green wire of 3pin plug?

- SFTV9622FC or SF9512-DSL both can be use for DSL modem ?
pls quote best the price of:
WP-1-PLA+NIF
MDSC0039
SLAN8CG
SF9512-DSL

QUOTE(genkis3 @ Feb 26 2015, 01:58 PM)
found this SD-8C which have power outlet and RJ45 in-out.

SD-8C compare with MDSC0039 + SLAN8CG , which is better or they are same?
*

9622 dont have the grounding module to earth the SLAN8CG, usually only MD series will have the grounding module only...

only SF9512DSL can use for ADSL streamyx modem; SFTV9622FC only for analog telephone

*
You can use MDSC0039 for power protection on devices Unifi with fiber optics input... SLAN1236 / SLAN8CG is required if u extended Unifi network to other rooms with wired LAN cable... also, extra protection may required if your hyyptv connected to TV as your TV can connect to aerial antenna and astro decoder...

Oh i see. I dont have extended unifi network so its okay then.
What do i need to use for the extra protection u mentioned since my tv has antenna?
How about the streamyx setup? I've changed the adsl modem at my hometown 5 times due to lightning. The belkin surge protector just doesn't work
And also about the multisocket, is it safe to use cal lab > multisocket?
*
antenna protection required MD-TV
steamyx standard setup required SF9512DSL / SF9812DSL but subject to your equipment connectivity.

you can plug multisocket on top of Cal-Lab smile.gif

All of them from lightning strike through telephone line.

by doing so it consider partial protection as surge can come from any source such as power, LAN, coxial, etc...

gkl83 i have a question.

if my router connects to 3 pc with ethernet cable, this means I have to purchase 3 x SLAN1236 and 4 x SF9512DSL? or is there any other alternative?

Current Setup:
power source ---> router in hall ---> PC in room 1, room 2, room 3 (all with phones)

CODE

CAL-LAB #1: power source ---> 1x SF9512DSL + router in hall + 3 x SLAN1236 ---> PC in room 1, room 2, room 3 + 3x SF9512DSL
Total: 4 x SF9512DSl + 3 x  SLAN1236

=================================================================

CAL-LAB #2:
power supply + telephone line --->  1 x SF9512DSL ---> splitter ---> 3 phones in 3 rooms
power supply + telephone line --->  1 x SF9512DSL ---> router  ---> 3 pc in 3 rooms
PC in room 1,2,3 + 3 x MDSC0039
TOTAL: 3 x MDSC0039 + 1 x SF9512DSL

Are there any ways to cut down the cost?

It so, I like to get one unit of SF9812DSL with 2 addtional modules.
Kindly pm your best price with Poslaju charges to JB.
Than you.

SL-AR maximum up to 5Amp only.... you can restore it @ RM25 by Cal-Lab service center...
Or else you can consider NILI series which can support up to 10amp but it dont have Auto Reset functionality...

I just tried my friend's callab SFTV9622FC. Does it work as good as the SF9512DSL or SF9821DSL? Does it have the same SKPXDSL for phone line protection? Is it wrong not to use the -DSL series?

my setup is like this:
phone plug on wall --- SFTV9622FC --- streamyx modem router --- (lan cable) --- desktop

What's the advantage of SF9821DSL over SF9512DSL? If the cal-lab got damaged by lightning strike, do I have to send the whole unit to hq? problem is I'm from sarawak... so paying for 2-way shipping is gonna cost a lot.
*

SFTV9622FC tel module only designed for analog telephone and fax machine, the stability & protection level to ADSL modem are not guarantee.
DSL version are optimized for ADSL connectivity & protection
9812 have the SKPXDSL module which replaceable tel module compare to 9512
if 9512 tel module damaged, you have to send whole unit to HQ for restoration

Can i connect an extension for my laptop & phone charger? laptop not connected to Lan or other stuff.

My location in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. So i would like to know if bad luck the cal-lab is damaged, then do i need to send it back for replacement of you have branch here that i can go to?

Please pm me the model, the price and delivery price.

Thanks and hope to get your reply asap.
*

you can use MDSC0039FC for power and astro satelite dish protection.
You can connect with any power extension on cal-lab units.
Any external sources such as LAN cable, tel cable, aerial antenna, etc going to your TV island must be protect if any, or else the most expensive lightning protector wont help you to against surge too...
You have to courier to Muar, Johor for the restoration @ RM15 + your courier charges and this charges applicable to lifetime.

QUOTE(leonardgood @ Jul 20 2015, 08:30 PM)
Hi, can pm me for the model?

i need at least 6 three pin plug..

the maximum how many 3 pin plug do u have?
*

Cal-Lab can stack more than 6 three pin socket as long as not exceeded 2000watt.

for 6 three pin, you can use the combination of TRM-NIF-3 BU+PE and TRM-EP-UK2+US1
TRM series do provide additional cleaner power source to equipments.

otherwise you can use MDSC0039 if limited budget and connect with conventional power extension socket.
