1*unlimited zero* kilo watt, Cal-Lab will self-sacrifice...
NONE of equipments can manage the powerful lightning surge in proper way...
Cal-Lab designed for equipments protection AT ALL COST, it self-sacrifice if over the surge limitation and the damage cost was RM25+ but saved the equipments which cost RM1000-RM1*unlimited zero*... what u think about it? Otherwise Cal-Lab wont able to gain US patented... Can u find any products in market which had US patented? It was no easy to gain US patented and require to prove that their equipments was 100% working in any conditions and able to brought the benefits to public...

Pls refer to this video for more information

here is one of the *BANNED-forumer* (dont mention what is his previous nickname), he glad that cal-lab saved this PC that lightning direct strike to his house roof...

u can test it out with analog telephone, ensure that telekom line provide normal dial tone...
later on test the telephone line go thru SF9812DSL and u plug a analog telephone from output...
if appear buzz sound or no tone instead of normal dial tone from SF9812DSL, means the SKPXDSL inside dead...
unscrew 2 screw of telephone module and u will see it...

since u r outstation, u r required to pay RM30 (bank draft, cheque or thru bank deposit machine), pack your SKPXDSL along together with ur bank draft/cheque/bank slip and courier back to Muar... They receive it will do restoration, check the condition of your units and adsorb some charges from the amount u pay, later on they will courier back to u the units and return the balance of RM30 thru cheque...

but do a phone call to HQ 1st for more clarification before u courier... smile.gif

Hi,

If I plug in the antenna in the CLI and use the antenna cable out to TV ( for lightning protection from antenna), the receving quality is not good
I suppose it need a booster in between. Any ideas where I can get a good antenna booster?
BTW, I am using STV9511

QUOTE(gkl83 @ Feb 2 2009, 08:56 PM)
for ur diagram it able to work...
the cal-lab unit must locate after your ADSL splitter filter... you cant split the tel line after the cal-lab units...
or perhaps u can try to get a good quality TV antenna cable, because the antenna cable that provided by cal-lab was a common type... but if u required for antenna booster to enchance the signal, the booster must locate before STV9511 because booster will deliver voltage to antenna and STV9511 no designed for that, it must locate after the booster...
*
I have bought the antenna booster, the image quality is improving compared to without it. Here's the antenna booster image. It comes with 4 outlet, it can boost 4 TV simultanously, cost me RM90. I strongly recommend your to get thebooster if you are thinking of getting the STV9511, especially if you are LCD TV user, believe me without it the you wouldn't even want to turn on your TV!

Hi Ah Loon,

I was bought your product previously:
134. Kohmizusawa - SF9512DSL-MS2+3 (COD on 11/10/08, Successful)

My SF9512DSL-MS2+3 have sacrified it self cry.gif on the lightning on Wednesday's naughty lightning striked to my telephone line. I have indentified the telephone module was not working (no tone at all if plug through SF9512DSL-MS2+3, but work fine if bypass SF9512DSL-MS2+3). Luckily, other power cord still working as normal.

I tried to unscrew the 2 screw of telephone module, but unable to take the module out, I worry if I force it out will break the internal circuit. Is there any tricks to open the telephone module?

In this case, what is the process to get a replacement?

there have no replaceable module inside SF9512DSL-MS2+3...
once the tel module damaged means u required to replace whole unit...
u are required to do replacement at CenterPoint, Bandar Utama showroom...
the total replacement cost was RM25... and that cost saved ur modem at least... worst maybe ur whole PC burnt... tongue.gif

Since I'm not quite sure about the power consumption, especially on the right most with the most devices, I think it's better to have a device for each part.

Regarding the wiring, the multi socket extension is just 1 cm from the wall plug, all the power cable to the devices are standard 1 meter cable e.g pc, lcd, ps3, projector, and etc, AVR, UPS also around 1 meter, so total is about 2 meter from the power source to each device, although it seems like a lot of devices, but all the devices are located on the same office table including the projector. The only one long cable that I have is the HDMI display cable which is about 5 meter long, that's the longest cable in my entire room.

and
SF9512DSL-MS2+3, Protect:PT -> RRP:RM93, 15%off, Now:RM80 (Compatible with ADSL2 connection)

SF9512DSL was non multi-socket verion, only have 1*3pin power socket
SF9512DSL-MS2+3 was multi-socket version verion, have 2*3pin and 3*2pin power socket...
both of them only used for ADSL signal (broadband signal), u cant use it for ur telephone or fax machine, or else ur boardband connection will effected... that why SP9201DAF designed for boardband and telephone...
