Is all the items located at the same places? can specific the location of equipments for the right Cal-Lab models?

QUOTE(LingLingFat @ Feb 14 2014, 05:55 PM)
Do you have one that is long? At least 2m long?

Ive got a PC, but its across the room, about 3m from wall outlet.

Also can it support my PC + table / stand fan on one device?

Or can it go like ;
All device (pc+fan) -> AVR / Surge (multi socket) -> Cal-Lab -> Wall outlet?
*

QUOTE(LingLingFat @ Feb 14 2014, 05:58 PM)
I just need a way to connect my PC to the outlet.

The only space for the system is 3m away, and I cant move the system any closer to the outlet.

And I don't wanna use cheap extension plug..
*

it is allowed to use extended power cable between the wall socket and the Cal-Lab models
If ur PC without the LAN cables connected, basically you can use MDSC0039 only... smile.gif

You can go for MDSC0039 only if ur unifi internet doesnt share with other PCs at other rooms via LAN cable

Hi,

The range of product is really exhausting...
Meanwhile, for a standard desktop PC, will MD-NIF0039 suffice?

I did my read up on the product and it seems like it also filter noise from the power outlet while the older MD-SC0039 don't. Just want to know if I am on the right track?

Thanks.
*

most of latest model do filter the noise from power cable but some are not supported Homeplug Aztech as different model required.
may i know the equipments and devices required for the protection?

Actually I did not use any power line communication. Just that I am wondering if my desktop would benefit from a cleaner power source. Anyway, Do you see this useful?
Do recommend a model you see fit. thanks

My desktop:
- tower
- monitor
- 2.1 speaker

I built my own pc so the total wattage should be at most 700W. Internet from wifi.
Meanwhile, I have a second setup of equipment located away from my desktop because it's used by the entire family:
- copper wire broadband
- a modem
- a phone
- TV
- satellite dish receiver
- home theatre system

Is it possible to employ two cal-lab devices? I read somewhere that they need to be grounded to the same earth.  Can I assume that the earth wiring is usually connected together? I wasn't involved in the wiring when they built the house smile.gif
*

is the desktop completed standalone without LAN cable connected... u can use MDSC0039 5amp version...

another setup, u can use MDSC0039FC + SP9201DAF for modem, phone, TV, astro and HTS protection if dont have aerial antenna connected to TV...

all the above using a same wire extension.

Setup 2
1 x TV ( connect through antenna )
1 x laptop ( no LAN connect)

Setup 3
1 x TV only but connect through antenna.

Thank you for your time and wish you have a nice day.
*
Setup 1: you can use SF9812DSL if dont hvt telephone connected
Setup 2: you can use SFTV9622FC or combination of MDSC0039 + MDTV9922
Setup 3: you can use SFTV9622FC or combination of MDSC0339 + MDTV9922

Only power protection? Consisted with any LAN / tel cable to ur setup?
If only power, u can use 2 unit of MDSC0039 (standard) or NILI9920F (higher surge supported)

QUOTE(asunakirito @ Apr 26 2014, 08:22 AM)
Currently what speed can  SF9512-DSL support? 4mbps (streamyx)? 5mbps (unifi vip5)?

Unifi via copper wires have no issues with Cal Lab. So far tested till ADSL2 technology which no available in market yet...

4. Blu-ray disc player
5. WII
6. PS2

Setup 2 in study area using either wall socket or eubiq track

2. 1 future desktop

Not sure if need to include alarm, cctv points and fridge/kitchen as well?

Have not install any yet because now paint works and electrical works is last.

So assuming that it is either fiber or copper, then?

For setup 2, I think it will be wireless as setup 2 will be upstairs and setup 1 will be downstairs.

As for telephone, we will not be using 1 but not sure if need a telephone point for unifi?
*

if setup 1, SF9812DSL (if copper) / MDSC0039 (if fiber)
if setup 2, MDSC0039 (power protection for PC setup only)

if the telephone will extend to another location, then the tel cable recommend to protect... smile.gif
