u required to protect the 5 lan cable is possible...
there have the possibility that the surge come from lan cable and strike ur router although ur router protected by cal-lab... but if insist tend to protect router and ignore the surge may come from lan cable, u have to take the responsibility that router may damage anytime although protected the power and tel line... hope u can understand what i means...

I want to buy this two items, pls pm me best price + payment method:
MDSC0039 x1
SP9201DAF x1

I plan to use them with
- a multi-socket (connect to 2PCs and some peripherals, with total <2000w),
- a phone
- a ADSL modem router.

Please check whether the wiring is correct, or any better recommendation:

erm... why suddenly pop up another fax and phone? sweat.gif
if possible, draw a simple layout for equipments within ur room and show me how the physical connection will be...
very difficult for me to imagine ur equipment's location and u may miss out any related equipments which may caused the back surge...

Actually the other computer is connected to the router as well (i forgot to draw the connection).

The rest of the equipments / peripherals in my room are:
- desk lamp (9W)
- 2.1 Altec Lancing speaker (31W total)
- printer (7W)
- table fan (<80W)
- ipod radio+clock dock (4W)
- adaptors to recharge my laptop, mobile phone, and ipod.

so printer, speaker & adaptor (laptop if wired lan cable and ipod if USB connected for long term) must include into ur installation diagram as well...
regarding the desk lamp, table fan, radio + clock can be exclude since there have not direct connection between PC peripherals...
how about the distance between the router and both PCs?

as requested... i think the network storage connected together with TNB1 or another way around...
because ur PC and server is the higher power consumption among ur equipments... perhaps modem, router, network storage and PC connected to TNB1, and server, fax and phone (cordless) from TNB2... but depend on ur physically connection... my point here was i recommend the PC and server dont share the same power point from same MDSC0039..

erm,

power calculation,
TNB1 = modem (12W) + WLAN (19W) + NS ( 120W) + FAX&PH (90W)=241W
TNB2 = Server (650W) + PC (350W) = 1KW

wow that great

how much will it cost ? (included postage fee to kelantan)

The laptop connects to the router wirelessly (it's a wireless + 4-port router),
but I seldom use my laptop in my room.
I don't normally connect my iPod to my PC USB, only do that when transfering songs, which is not very often.

Here's the updated installation diagram:
