I have two sets of PC but only have one power socket in my room.

I wonder if i can use a normal multisocket to plug into a MDSC0039 to power the two PCs and the other electric appliances (desk lamp, fan, and a hi-fi system). Will it be over-loaded?

I want to buy this two items, pls pm me best price + payment method:
MDSC0039 x1
SP9201DAF x1

I plan to use them with
- a multi-socket (connect to 2PCs and some peripherals, with total <2000w),
- a phone
- a ADSL modem router.

Please check whether the wiring is correct, or any better recommendation:

so printer, speaker & adaptor (laptop if wired lan cable and ipod if USB connected for long term) must include into ur installation diagram as well...
regarding the desk lamp, table fan, radio + clock can be exclude since there have not direct connection between PC peripherals...
how about the distance between the router and both PCs?
The laptop connects to the router wirelessly (it's a wireless + 4-port router),
but I seldom use my laptop in my room.
I don't normally connect my iPod to my PC USB, only do that when transfering songs, which is not very often.

Here's the updated installation diagram:

I got my [MDSC0039 + SP9201DAF] today,
Thanks for COD somewhere near my place (Kelana Jaya LRT)

Now i got one question, I wanted to connect SP9201DAF's green wire to MDSC0039, but the wire isn't not long enough.
So I wonder which way is safer:

1) connect the earth wire to an earth socket on my second multi-socket (see below image for details) ?
OR
2) extend the SP9201DAF's green wire and connect it to MDSC0039's earth connector?

thx.

Hi,

I've been using SP9201-DAF for 2 years without any problem.
But after I upgraded my streamyx to 2MB recently,
I noticed my SN Margin is very low and the internet connection is not stable.
I found that by-passing the splitter (SP9201-DAF),
my SN Margin improves a lot and the connection is more stable.

My telekom line is solely for Internet purpose,
so i was wondering if I can just use a normal SP9201 (without build-in micro-filter) and connect it in-between Telekom socket and my modem?

Which SP9201 model do you recommend? I'm now using Streamyx 2MB package.

Thanks.

could be the reason no.1 (telephone cable too old),
but I can't do much about it 'cuz the only "old" cable is the external cable from the apartment downstair main socket box to telekom exchange.
(the interior part - telephone cable inside my apartment is still quite new, only less than 2 year old)

The TM technician came to check my Internet connection this morning,
and he suggest me not to use splitter /micro-filter if I'm not using any telephone at all.
So I decided not to use SP9201DAF.
Now the telekom line goes directly into my Modem and the internet connection is very stable.

But i want the telekom line to be protected.
Any suggestion?
I first thought of using SP9201-DSL,
But in your brochure it says the SP9201-DSL only support up to 512k.
So does it means I can't use it for my 2MB streamyx?

the SP9201DAF should able cater up ADSL2 as well...

maybe there 2 reason caused the issues...
1. maybe telephone cable was old... i had a old telephone cable plugged on cal-lab and affected the connection speed
2. double check SP9201DAF installation... if u using SP9201DAF for broadband only, u must use between "cable 1" or "connector 2" for "from telekom" and "to modem"... and avoid to plug any cable & equipments into "connector 3" bcos it ready for analog telephone only, it will affect the connection speed if used it....
