Hi gkl83,

Got a short question to ask ya. I have a unit of SF9512 which I use for my PC + modem with streamyx connection. Been using it for many years and working fine all this while, but lately, if the phone lines were to go thru the CLLI, my modem's DSL light will blink and it will never be a steady light.

This would mean that my modem is not able to synchronize with the DSLAM port. However, if I were to plug direct the telephone line to my modem
(without going thru the CLLI), the connection will work.

Any idea what is causing this? Does this mean the cal lab SF9512 unit is faulty and needs to be replaced/serviced? Would appreciate your reply or opinion regarding this issue. Thanks!

Hi gkl83,

Interested in the SF9512DSL model. Can I connect an extension cord with 5 x 13A sso to the above? The total load will be less than 1Kw (2 computers, 1 DSL router modem and 2 monitors). If yes, what is the max. distance between the extension sso and SF9512 outlet? Can COD near OUG area?

Thanks

FYI, the SF9512 total max current was 5A... it able to provide enough current for all ur application from extension cord...

i gained the calculation from HERE... if not misunderstanding to apply the rules... tongue.gif
Volt: 240
Amp: 5
Watt: 1200 (result)

recommended locate ur extension which gained power from SF9512 within 3-5meters, because the longer of the cable (powerline &telephone line) the chances to absord the static from ligthing will higher...

but it is fine tat have a big gap distance between SF9512 and wall power socket, the static is outside the SF9512 protection boundary, wont harm ur pc...so better that SF9512 located near ur pc system, shorter cable will have lower chances to create static into cable... smile.gif

i will try to COD around the Jalan Kelang Lama... do u have other places tat u can COD also?

question: wat ur means for SSO?
