Nah they will assign and worst case scenario u look out for him/her and they will do the same for u and u synchronise hand signals and u plan and discuss prior to trip and thats the extent of your conversation. I dont think there are people out there who will leave u alone there unless u get separated... If they leave u alone, means he/she gets left alone..

Most times I dive I get assigned to mat sallehs who are very professional who only talk to u during the dive and prep.. once at surface interval they go back to their other mat sallehs.. hehe dont worry too much on this.

I take a long time.. haha.. I tend to panick going down.. I am afraid of heights and most times the going down part scares me.. So it takes awhile for me to calm down and stop taking in air... haha

Original price is about sgd200, close to rm500.

i more worry about the pressure in my ears cos make me pain.. shocking.gif
i can't imagine if without the reference line to hold while descent. i mean for newbie really depend on reference line to descent slowly, second can hold tight against strong current. blush.gif

Yea i also just got my license last week.. haha..

Before u go down u equalize 1st than go down than keep equalizing as u go down. control ur descent by breathing in longer and out faster if u wan to descent slower.. thats how i do it.. so i no need to hold line. hehe..

I hate current! Hahaha panicks me out.. especially when current makes me swim sideways into the coral.. have to twist and twist to rotate my body to swim another direction.. and I am not that agile out of the water.. even more with the bcd and tank.. haha

Don't worry about that, we do have same problem as well. you have to take note of your equalizing and also the weight you carry. how's your buoyancy? remember to equalize early, if you having pain some other problem, try to ascent a few feet and try to equalize again, if still the same, stop your dive immediately and ascent... always remember to dive within your limit...

Normal budget range is 1200-1800 depending if ur taking padi ssi or nawi. but that is the range.

Doubt there is student price. for more information about diving feel free to read page 1 of our v2 thread

anyone interested in getting some stuff from DiveGearExpress.com ?

I got the promotional code from DGE's booth at ADEX last weekend, and to qualify for free shipping to Malaysia, we'll need at least $250 (Instead of the usual $500) to get it shipped for free..

let me know if you're interested in getting some stuff from DGE, we'll see if we can reach $250, and maybe can get some goodies from there..

currently on my cart i have about $80, need about $170 more..
