Tinggi Foundation Scholarship

The University is also very fortunate to have the support of Tinggi Foundation, which offers scholarships to deserving students. The scholarship is worth 50% of any undergraduate programme tuition fees and is open to Malaysian students only.

50% la.....

How about the mechanical engineering in Universtiy of Nottingham Malaysia Campus? Is it good?

About the scholarship offered, it covers the whole degree level study or only the foundation program?

The Mechanical Engineering in UNiM is considered a new course and it was still in the reviewing states. I think it has a more fixed syllabus now and there are more and more students enrolling in it. IMHO, the course itself is a good course. The question will be, are the lecturers and the environment there good enough? The lecturers there are indeed very helpful and very approachable. Regarding the environment, I think they should have new workshops and labs in the Semenyih campus now. It is indeed a very nice campus.

yes Brabus. It is possible that you can join directly into 2nd year if your results in your diploma is good enough, where they want at least 3.00 or 3.25 if not mistaken. However, if they think you are not qualified, you can go into the 1st year (just skipping the foundation). But for confirmation, it is best you send a mail and ask them.

Me and a lot of my friends are diploma holders who was directly entered into the 2nd year for engineering course.

Hey benQue,

Not very sure about the healthy issue, but the Nottingham campus is a very beautiful place and it is huge. Anyway, back to the engineering course. I would say that Nottingham's engineering courses are indeed quite good. However, a lot of universities offer good engineering courses. The difference is, Nottingham has less students, thus, the lecturer can focus more on the students and provide the assistance when you need it. I think this is pretty important especially when you are doing your assignments and your final year project.
