Don't go there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chemical reaction..., i heard that the campus is near the chemical dump site area. Is not good for your health.

Do you want to study there and get some side effects??!!??
*
Ah screw it, I didn't see a chemical dump site area anywhere near the Uni... doh.gif
Where do you get the source from? laugh.gif

Semenyih is small, packed, but the Uni is good. Nice surroundings, like a forest. laugh.gif
You can sure study there, if you want to. But, for sure entertainment is only @ semenyih town. laugh.gif
The environment is very good, no polution, except for the water supply, got UNiM got water filters don't u worry. I am so far so good there besides I need to walk long 5 min from my TTS[Taman Tasik Semenyih] to campus if I miss the shuttle service. sweat.gif

Hmm, juz a quick question on the staff at nottingam malaysia, are they helpful? it seems a relative of mine complained that the staff was rude to her during one of her scholarship interviews there and has since studied at Monash Sunway becoz she is pissed.

I am a scholarship holder, I've been to the interview.
They treat me very well.
Or maybe that ur relative did something wrong during the interview? e.g. boasting or arrogant? that might be a possible issue. [No offense] smile.gif

Yes. So far, the engineering courses in Nottingham are accredited by LAN except Mechanical Engineering. That you have to check out or those studying in it, can have a peek at it. Regarding the Year 2 transfer to UK, yes, it is true. You can choose to do your year 2 in Nottingham UK campus, be it for one semester, or for two semesters (the whole year 2).

Err... Yes and no... The meaning of twinning, as far as i am concerned, means you are pursuing a degree locally from an overseas university. It has nothing to do about completing your year 2 abroad or locally. Get what I mean?

The 2+1 is for you to experience UK life!!
Eventhough you're studying in Nottingham Malaysia, you might want to go to Nottingham UK for a year to experience their culture, lifestyle, meeting different people. Eventhough you pay the same amount if you go nottingham UK for a year, you gotta pay for your own living expenses. Some people thought this is expensive, that's why they decided to stay in Malaysia.

Yes. It is the same between 3+0 and 2+1. They are both twinning programs. The difference is off coz, 3+0 means everything is done locally while 2+1 basically means you will be doing one year abroad. The degree obtained is the same for both. The reason they have this kind of system is well explained by felixwhoals smile.gif

Well, looks like this is quite interesting.
I have some quesitons here.
I'm a SAM student studying in Taylor College, Subang Jaya.
My SPM results is considered average, at least still afford to get the scholarship in this uni.
Btw, do u think i'm wasting my money and time if i enroll the engineeing course after finishing my SAM?
Do i need to take the foundation again?
Besides, what's the actual fees for the whole 3-year course?
Izit around 30k or i'm wrong, it should be 30k for 1 year?

After completing SPM, if you were to give up SAM, then you'll have to take the foundation in Nottingham (if they are offering it to you).

What do you mean wasting your time?
As you know, SAM is just a preU course. After completing it, you can go for a degree in Nottingham.
If you are asking whether to quit half way after SAM (its july anway) and take up a foundation course in Nottingham. Then I'd say its completely waste of time and money. With SAM, you are still able to enrol in Nott. U.

I dont know what's the actual fees, but it wont be 30k for a full degree course.

SAM? Whats that? I'd really suggest A Levels or STPM if you wanna get into Nottingham.

Fees for whole 3 years?
http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/international/...uition_fees.php

Just multiply 1 year by 3 or whatever it is.

30k RM a year? No matter what course you do, you can expect to spend at least about 100-120k RM a year (including tuition fees). Probably more for medics, and if you're considering London, add abit more.

Course, this is about the UK campus. Malaysian campus, no idea.

aus = 4 years
