Hey guys, I'm currently studying in KBU & have just completed my year 1 in E&E engineering.
Was wondering if i could transfer to Nottingham Uni and will i lose any credits while transferring?
And its possible to study the final year in the UK campus right?
Thnx for helping
Hey! It depends but I don't think you will lose any credits as most 1st Years are common. they teach the same thing. I did my 1st year at Taylors College (Uni Birmingham program) and I manage to continue to 2nd year without any problems. Btw, in the end ur degree class depends only on Yr 2 and Yr 3. Also, you cannot do mobility in the UK campus. Because in order for you to do mobility, it must not be your 1st or final year. meaning that, if your course is 4 years, you can only do mobility in your 2nd or 3rd year. if you're talking about transferring to UK for final year (paying UK fees) then it is possible.

guys,.... im torn up thinking whether to take MEng or BEng ... can someone enlighten me ... on which to choose ? .. I mean just give your opinion.. of cuz i will be the one who decide my path... but i need firm and concrete opinions from experienced or non-experienced ppl.. Pls do not mention that it is up to me actually. I know that. Your help is appreciated... thanks..
I was facing this problem as well last time. Anyways, the reason why MEng is offered here is because it is to comply with the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM). You can only apply to be a professional engineer (dont know exactly what they call it) if your course is 4 years duration. they do not recognise 3 year duration course. But even with a BEng, companies do not really care at all. With my BEng I've gotten job offer so do no worry that you can't find a job. Also, take note that MEng is a undegraduate course. and it is 4 years. If you want to study for 4 years, you can take the BEng and then an MSc course which also is 4 years duration. This way.. you have a bachelors degree and a masters which is better because with masters basically what you study is more in depth in one field only (eg: photonics, communication, RF, etc.). So it is easier to get job in the field that you studied in also also not forgetting you can register with BEM as you have studied for 4 years. Hope this helps!
