QUOTE(arj @ May 16 2013, 03:47 PM) Where can I find the clay mitt locally and how much is it? The one available here is not like yours....more like this one: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2448036/allPrice? Well....errrr....can get it at around RM80, and I think it's almost twice the size of that one from Chemical Guys.... |

QUOTE(arj @ May 16 2013, 04:15 PM) Thanks bro, where can I get the RM80 one? Have you tried the clay mitt/cloth? What do you think about them, compared to normal clay? Osren (looks like I'm sounding more and more like their reps now |

QUOTE(arj @ May 16 2013, 04:38 PM) Thanks for the feedback. Always wanted to pay Osren a visit but haven't manage to do so yet hehe... Don't worry, you'd get the chance. The annual (but skipped last year) detailing kakis gathering hosted by Osren is in the pipeline. Tentatively around end of next month. Still working on the details (pun intended...hahaha....) |

Get a toothbrush (for intricate/small areas) or a shoe brush (for larger areas) and lightly scrub them with an all purpose cleaner, very light dilution of dishwashing detergent, or the like. Rinse them thoroughly and apply some trim/plastic dressing of your choice. Oh...and try not to let the apc/detergent/etc. dwell for too long or dry on the paintwork.

LOL...not really cuz not even sure whether it'll work without knowing what car and type of plastic that is. But you can try whatever wax/polish/sealant you have just to see whether it'll make any difference. Worst come to worst, you could wrap it or spray a coat of paint/plastidip to cover it.

hrrm....I think I need to re-visit my AG chamois. Only used it once and back into it's container it went. Also have a 'natural' version....stinky stuff....
But those 'Absorber' in the pic doesn't look like it's synthetic chamois....looks more like cloth ones... Edit: ok. Did a little googlling...they're PVA/Synthetic.... This post has been edited by KrisMas: May 18 2013, 07:44 PM |

QUOTE(popice2u @ May 19 2013, 12:32 PM) i own a white car. 1 month din wash d......can see body mcm berminyak.....wash also not white clean......ada cara yg lebih effective aaah? It is, in a sense, oil - traffic/oil film, smoke emission from vehicle, etc. Something like how your skin would feel and look when wiping with a tissue paper after a few hours walking around in the middle of KL. You should be able to easily remove it with a light polish or an All-In-One (AIO) like Duragloss 501, 3M One Step Cleaner Wax, Meguairs Ultimate Polish or the like. You can also strip it with a 'chemical wash' using a mild all purpose cleaner, but just remember to wax your car again afterwards.QUOTE(patienceGNR @ May 19 2013, 01:03 PM) The roof of my car has some dirt stain (dark colour, looks greasy and won't go away). I don't know how to remove them. I guess a white car also. See above.Edit : I used make up remover (water based) and it came out A VERY LITTLE TINY WEENIE bit. If I don't use anything and use my bare fingers, it can come out easily. What dirt is this? QUOTE(KyeLunC @ May 19 2013, 05:52 PM) Guys, is there any good wet looking tyre polish with a reasonable price recommended? hhrrmmm.....define reasonable please... |

QUOTE(popice2u @ May 19 2013, 08:58 PM) which one is more effortless? Aisay...easy way out (but also with higher risks) is using an all purpose cleaner....spray and wipe with damp cloth, then wash normally afterwards to remove/rinse off the apc. Cloth would get dirty very quickly...clean/rinse the cloth regularly (dirty cloths creates swirls...especially when you're removing these kinda dirt, but I don't think you would mind much about it). Avoid working under the sun...and don't expect the paint to be shiny afterwards....but it would look very clean. |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ May 20 2013, 03:53 AM) now... where can i get more of that product? need a gallon or something keeping stock Did you mean the Sonax? Wow....even I couldn't make it work as good as you made it sound like. Hrrmmm....maybe another re-visit is in order. Oh...and yeah you would need to use it LIBERALLY and leave it to do it's work for a minute or two (or longer). But it's expensive stuff man...and the dealer already ran out of the 5L container (the one that you saw).oh and what should i do with the wheel brush QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ May 20 2013, 06:40 AM) Pictures speak better than thousand words, @55h0le. QUOTE(Quazacolt @ May 20 2013, 02:29 PM) ah so i didnt really overspray it or something; noted will leave it longer next time for more lazy wheel cleaning Just use enough to make sure you spray it on every single inch of the areas you're cleaningbtw pm me on further details, need to know how expensive it is and how to get it The retail price I think you already know la...around RM80 for 500ml. I'm afraid you won't be able to get the 5L one over here......yet Oh....how about trying out one of those spray waxes on the rims. Might not last a week but it is very convenient and doesn't take much time. I used to apply sealants on the wheels (before all these spray waxes came out) but surrender also....just too much hasle and one round of APC wash and it's all gone. And none of the coatings (except for one) that I tested also can last more than a month..... This post has been edited by KrisMas: May 20 2013, 03:26 PM |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ May 20 2013, 03:30 PM) that is an... OK price if i don't have to squat/bend down and spent few minutes per wheel! getting old la dey, back/knee/ass pain LOL Don't know if any of the 'pasaraya' have them. Maybe you can ask Sonax Malaysia directly in their fb page, or just go straight to them at SS18, Subang jaya.btw got anywhere retailing? maybe can get a few bottles or something while we wait for the 5L? Eneos got sell Sonax product, but wafak they didn't sell the AWESOME wheel cleaner hmm, yea maybe could give those a try. what kinda spray waxes you recommend? optimum? megs? =edit= actually, i cant exactly spray directly, right? else waxes would get onto my rotors and i'd be having f***ed brakes for a while LOL! if so, might as well just go for liquid waxes? I guess, for the wheels, any cheaper ones would do la...I heard that TW Wax It Wet is decent enough (but don't know the price though). Megs Ultimate Quick Wax, Duragloss Aquawax or Optimum Car Wax (I heard that this one's local price shot up quite a bit already) would be good. It'll also be more affordable if you can get the bigger size one and share it out (if you know what I mean....tehehe). Yes, you don't spray it on the wheels. Spray on cloth and wipe it on - like using a quick detailer (so you'd still need to SQUAT |

QUOTE(colinwong89 @ May 20 2013, 08:29 PM) I know it is possible to use it as a pre-wash to remove wax and such, but how much of a dilution ratio should I use for paint cleaning? Should I spray and wash off, or place some mixed with water in a bucket and wash normally? |
