Ok. I've manage to secure a vanue. Not 100% confirmed but I'd say around 90% firm. Will finalise everything right after lunch.

I don't have the Megs consumer wheel cleaner. But if comparing Sonax and Megs Wheel Brightener, the two products works differently. Pretty long if really want to elaborate. Later la.

Bring a terrible looking wheel with severe caked on brake dust then can only show/see the difference.

Won't be able to see the difference if the wheels are 'just dirty'. The difference between the two can only be noticeable on caked on (normal cleaning won't be able to remove) brake dust.

I put down this advice/suggestion with CAUTIONS: technique plays a MAJOR role in this method, or else you're be putting down more swirls and scratches if not done accordingly.

Read up and understand 'rinseless' or 'waterless' car wash. In your situations, the 'rinseless' or 'waterless' car wash would come in handy. Use it to clean your car while it is fairly clean or slightly dirty. Then wax on as normal. I'd suggest do it one panel/one section in a time, i.e. wash one section then wax that section before going onto the next section. Eg. Wash the roof -> dry -> wax -> wash front section -> dry -> wax -> doors -> etc.

Or, you can try to bring your wax to the car wash shop you mentioned and find a suitable place near there to do your waxing.

Shucks....didn't go online for *almost* one day and so many pages already....

Send your car to somebody reliable to do a proper FULL detail. Get yourself a proper shampoo and wash mitt and start learning on the proper way of washing your car without causing much damage (swirls). Then arm yourself with a bottle of spray wax/sealant (eg. Optimum Car Wax, Megs Ultimate Quick Wax, Duragloss Aquawax, etc.) and a couple of pieces of good quality microfiber cloths, just spray and wipe after every two washes (if your're washing weekly)....

Totally agree. I also only use the WB as and when required only. Even then, I RARELY USE anything stronger than 1:10. Most of the times are just either APC or normal shampoo.

Different chemical formulation for different conditions...that's all I know....can't explain further cuz I don't understand much of it also...hahaha....

hrrmm...didn't know about that one. Not sure whose right or wrong. But I checked their msds just now it says pH 5.5. Quite consitant with my 'test'





Not-so-scientific and not-so-accurate...but roughly can get the idea. Oh...have to also remember one thing though - pH level doesn't really mean much if we're talking about safe or not on what surface. If you dip a litmus paper into a heavily diluted acid it would still read pH 13...it's the CONCENTRATION that counts....

Can somebody post up the pictures they took. One of them might have a picture of it. But roughly, it looks a lot like the Aikka one except for the whole thing is black instead of green-ish.....
