After hu ha.. looking cheap alternative.. used bike.. the end I just go shop and choose color.. Getting Raleigh with shinamo deore 3x 10 speed, low end rock shox, shinamo hydraulic brake, etc for Rm1599 with 5 cat eye LED, new steel sandle, bottle. GUB helmet and FAM pant both RM150.. Everyone said is good deal for entry level bike..

now this is bull shit.. hope is not expensive, ppl who r serious in xc wouldnt go fr Hope in d first place, Hope hubs rm800 vs i9 hubs (upgraded to ceramic bearings) cost almost rm3k and they r super smooth n much lighter than Hope. Hope is durable, long lasting n not that pricey, more suitable fr am-dh rides..for xc u can stil use 'em tho😄

this is my bike, 2010 xtc, pic isnt update xtually but this is all i haf now.. done some minor upgrades such as replacing my old wtb saddle to tioga spyder, using latex sealant instead of tube, upgraded ceramic bearings to the xt hubs..

good spec not necessary has to be weight weenie..

component has to be reliable and strong for hardcore serious xc rider. carbon not necessary has to ultra light.... carbon are used for the reason of being stiffer than aluminum too for better power transfer. lighter are a welcome attribute in some cases.

real though... still prefer on improve riding skills and leg power!!!

Damn. Tried friend's Yeti XC carbon bike yesterday doing Kiara 2k loop. Feels so snappy, rear end is super light and can flick through so easily. So agile, good control and maneuvering along hair pins is a breeze. Feels better than my HT and AM rig. 

Yah... first time trying carbon full sus frame and actually riding it through trail. Feels different, bike is so stiff, controlled and no flex. Feels so good, diff than an Alu frame. The carbon frame feels so lively. Was thinking of saving for a carbon HT bike but after trying out a carbon full susser, now I got second thoughts. But then again I'm afraid of cracking a carbon frame in case of endo, crash  Not that easy to get spare parts here in bolehland.
