yes,I did it and it worked, but I think it just temporary solution, I need a permanent solution....uninstall any software or something else. One more question , what caused wp8 to restart???

i faced the blank screen issue last week and googled around for the solution which i gave u just now.

most of the time, my phone restarted due to some non-nokia/window apps.. probably due to software,
but some people also said it's due to the low 512MB RAM.. not really sure though.

hmm.....highly possible with low ram ...... okay lah , so i just uninstall both non-nokia/microsoft software , hehe

Totally new to Windows Phones, previously using Android ICS on a shitty HTC One V.

I watch YouTube a lot, just streaming not downloading.
so u r saying, those bids I watched stay inside my phone like forever??

if from youtube i think its ok, but last time i view dailymotion which is still playable in our browser.
the other storage wont shrink till 16GB size, mine is lumia 920..

now i only browse youtube using the recalled youtube app by microsoft, view all day long pun still not bloated.
only after i install instagram recently the other storage gets bigger everyday.

game stuff usually will take the storage at initial only, and will not get larger that much compared to apps.

err, iirc, fotoroom or any photo editing app also contributes to the other storage..
last i check after uninstalling fotoroom, it clears 3gb in my other storage..

yes, if you still cant clear the storage even after uninstalling the apps and after using storage check, that means it stays forever..

i kena once.. Had to format and reinstall firmware using Nokia software updater..
clean install.. But remember to backup ur apps and files..

after the nsu fresh install, i use my phone carefully, storage check had been.my best fren since. Everyday mesti check punya.. Hehe

Got problem here, suddenly yesterday my phone could not connect to my home wifi, dunno why..tested today at other place wifi, also cannot connect, it said password incorrect but i'm 100% sure that it's already correct and tried many times already. But the 3G is working fine..anyone else facing the same problem here?got any suggestions or solutions rather than bring it to nokia care? thanks..

typically what to do when WiFi cannot connect.
1. Check if date and time is correctly set?
2.power off phone wait a minute and on back.

turn off mobile network when u r doing all if this.

Hi all. I bought my Lumia 720 about a month ago. Like some of you, I faced the problem of getting a black screen and had to hard power on (Power + Volume down button). This happened twice to me.

All in all, I love this phone, between than the 2 Android phones I used. However, I have several issues such as:

1) Whatsapp keep notifying me of already read messages a couple of times. Really annoying!

2) According to a SMS recipient, my sent SMS to him keep appearing a number of times too.

Don't know if any of you Lumia 720 owners are experiencing this too?

already done 1 & 2, still cannot connect to WiFi..before this no problem at all, hv been using this phone for almost a month..

got update phone or not recently? If I remember correctly got update for WiFi or network?

btw did u install any WiFi shortcuts stuff or some battery savers app? Check their options about WiFi. Maybe you might need to uninstall them.

Only update fb apps recently before this thing happen. Ok I wil try uninstall WiFi shotcut apps.no harm trying. Thanks for suggestions.

Still cannot. Uninstalled the network shortcut apps and restart the phone, still incorrect password. Now using WiFi using the same password on my old lumia 710, no problem at all.so weird. Now considering to send to Nokia care tomorrow but need to backup data first..anybody know how to do full backup for lumia 720?

the password is case sensitive, make sure you didn't ON the CapLock

I meant phone updates. Go to setting look phone updates and check. If nothing to be updated I guess the 720 needs to see its doctor:)
