QUOTE(syawalz @ May 7 2013, 09:13 AM) Hi Guys, a new user for Lumia 720... Just bought it yesterday at LY how much does it cost in LY anyway? nokia store sticks to the RM999 RRP right?Tired with BB with small screen and the new unit is damn expensive, so migrate to WP and back to Nokia ^__^ A bit pissed off with seller yesterday at LY, keep saying to me that I'm the only person who buy Windows phone, keep asking why not take android... In my heart - "Suka hati aku la!" though I keep explaining that i like the function better... Just FYI, that seller also pissed off that his luck went out cos the unit he gave me are broken one, unable to charge. Then he replace with new one. Also same problem. 2 unit of 720 was replaced right in front of me until I get the functional one which I have one right here... makes me regret not to buy direct at Nokia store |

QUOTE(arthur_91 @ May 12 2013, 09:42 PM) that's what happened to me in AEON Bandaraya Melaka..the salesguy just said that i can play around with 920 since it's more or less the same OS.. the store has one 'blank' model though.. but i still go ahead and purchase one anyway. one of the best points (from my point of view) is the Outlook.com Contact detailed approach.. has been using live account for quite some time, and once download all contacts to windows phone, it was a breeze.. the only problematic thing was that the salesguy copied all my simcard contacts.. with my Nokia 1280 old phone, the details were all haywire.. |

hehehe.. my personal 'term' of a phone is a device to call + sms.. not more..
that's why i didn't mind using my old phone. anyway.. i'm not into games, so i can't comment much on any good games.. my personal 'term' of gaming is also PS3.. 1st time lumia crashed just now.. the salesgirl in nokia store installed the Ringtone app, and as i was using it suddenly the phone hanged.. terus uninstall that app.. |

QUOTE(Fhaarkas @ May 14 2013, 07:41 PM) malay language is quite irritating, isn't it? (i'm a malay, of course)just go to the bottom of the main page (after you've signed in), there should be a link that goes 'Malaysia (Bahasa Melayu)' (or something like that) just click on it and choose Malaysia (English) This post has been edited by pokchik: May 14 2013, 10:06 PM |

QUOTE(jandroid @ May 14 2013, 10:01 PM) even with the nilkin shell cover, it's still slim and lightweight..one of the reason that i don't have smartphone before was because of the bulk which comes with big phones nowadays.. at first was thinking of iphone5 (not an ifag, just that it's slim and light) then 720 came out.. |

QUOTE(Fhaarkas @ May 16 2013, 12:21 AM) just browsing around garage sales for microsd..tempted with 64GB (don't know what i would fill in, just thought that i'd go to the max storage available). few brands available.. samsung, sandisk, kingmax.. surprised to see different transfer rate for samsung class 10 is 70mbps/21mbps, while sandisk class 10 is 30mbps.. tried sandisk website to find compatible product for Lumia 720, they proposed to use Class 10 Sandisk Ultra.. wonder if there's any downside of using 64GB instead of 32GB.. (data loading slower due to bigger micro SD size or something) This post has been edited by pokchik: May 17 2013, 12:19 AM |

QUOTE(noorimanyosh @ May 17 2013, 02:12 PM) mine lasted 3 fdays (full charge by Tue 7am, battery left 20% by Thu 10pm)but my usage: - no dataplan, so i set max. 2G connection. - off bluetooth, tap+send (this one NFC ke?), off phone location. - daytime off wifi, night time on wifi + use IE/whatsapp/wechat/download apps for ~1hr/night. - play music/simple game/video on Thu night only (that's where the battery drained faster). - only use for call/sms. TL;DR version: i use my Lumia 720 same like the way i used my old 1280 and the battery lasted for 3 days. |

QUOTE(ulwan25 @ May 20 2013, 03:46 AM) that's why i opted to purchase an overpriced SP/shell cover from the store when I bought my 720..now SP got small scratches already, since I bundle everything into my pockets.. wanted to buy the wallet/flip cover type but the ones available doesn't look nice. I'd love to get something similar to 920's leather case though.. ![]() dunno whether it's original or not. |
