I played with the voltage and power target on air and it never reach the temp or should I say it just stay stable at the temp without down clock with 1:1 fan profile. I was really surprised and kinda sad when I notice no difference in stable clock speed after I put it under water  cry.gif

tdp leakage on kepler is not that big. u need higher tdp leakage to take advantage of performance gain on cooling.
thats y the 7970 is clockin like hell on ref. but u wont find that on 3rd party boards which rectified better power delivery etc.

yeah thank god for the ignore button btw. should have done it after seeing the amount of rubbish that needs not be entertained. done

Thanks for the offer, but Cyntrix going to take care of the cables.

Lol, why you anti Gigabyte. At first I was looking for Asus Maximus Formula V, but there's no stock anywhere. Then I stumble upon the orange themed UP7 in LYP, thinking of a orange, white and black rig would be kinda cool. Would have waited for Haswell if my old mobo didn't fail and right after I finish setting up the mobo, my old i7 2600k died. FML, so I am stuck with LGA 1155 and went to grab 3770k the next day  doh.gif

Phantom 630 seem okay for RM599, and it's white  wub.gif Pretty spacy to house EX240 in front and able to mount EX280 on top.

Hmm gaygay killed burned my 3-4k ram (at the rated voltage) and another gaygay almost killed my other 5k ram
its after that gaygay fae taiwan said ( u cannot oc) that time the board cost like nearly 1.6-1.7k supposedly a overclocking board.gaygay has short lifespan. Their phases and vrm are all false and the power delivery is always off by a lot and their loadline calibration is always overvolting.

think only stasio here i know still uses them frequently. i wont trust them with any of my rams.

hmm i see. what the heck ure 2600k died?? cpu dead??lol my board just died. send one for rma and bought another. well i guess m5f kindda sux but for me its more on the ram timings its not open but would good for noobies who prefer presets.

nah i am against plastic/steel combo. nzxt issue is the top grill clearance with the board with a dual loop rad for push pull config.

Edited the previous post, let me paste it here.

I asked about the PSU, he think it would be sufficient. I sure hope so since I am broke already, have to wait another month to get more goodies.

I was previously running GTX580 SLi just fine with the PSU, so I am guess it would be about the same for Titan SLi? Would do some research later after lunch.
*
that fella.

psu on full load is rare but ure edging it close to 70 percent of the 850 if u stress everything.
just test ure rails on 3.3v for cpu linx/burn and 12v on ure card extreme burnin or occt dx11 shader 7.0 full reso test.

looking at the new haswell specs. u might as well wait till more psu can be certified for the new c-states.

odd. enermax 3 times already been certified for future use since galaxy, evo and now their new plat. ... preferred partners like asus??

He tried that guide with no luck.
He underclocked his card and get the Heaven to run, so does it mean the card is faulty? Should he send it back for warranty claim?

huh?? ure talking about who??

QUOTE(marfccy @ May 3 2013, 04:59 PM)
anyone can explain more about ASIC quality to me? hmm.gif

from some reading, its about how well you can OC the card, no?

btw, if anyone wants to know, my EVGA GTX660 SC ASIC quality is 74.5%
*
the problem aint just asic.
asic is based on vid operating voltage.

u need asic+good vrm input/output tacelines

hmm.gif

so ASIC mainly is for OC stuff eh?
*
no
asic is just a rough guide line on tdp leakage based on binning of a chip to work at certain voltage.
hence the lower the voltage the higher the asic but less leakage.

its a question of balance really.

i see. sounds complex weih

need to research more
*
theres nothing really complex.

higher asic denotes that ure chip requires uses a lower vid (voltage in demand) to run at that stock frequency.

oc potential depends on tdp leakage and cooling.

so having a low vid chip doesnt guarantee but it helps a lot.

Hmm tempted. Just wondering will the card have normal nvidia traits of issues with pcie overclocking since haswell has the same pcie oc strap like sandy-e

Almost unbelievable, even with 2 SMX disabled (assuming it holds true to the rumored 2304 CUDA cores), the 780 is behind the Titan by only a meager 3.3%. sweat.gif
*
expected. its a spec issue. its too close.

titan as it is only shines at 1440p etc

looks like 780 now replaces 7970ghz as the perfect card for 1080p.

IIRC ideal tech posted in their facebook group that leadtek 780 priced @ RM2899 but cant seem to find it anymore, not sure if they edited or removed, only info I can find now is "Price: RM2x99*"

Maybe they got the pricing wrong (well hope they did), I guess will need to wait till next week until we know the pricing for sure. But if its priced anything above rm2.5k, then the cheapest option is probably buying from newegg  blush.gif
*
lol leadtek hasnt even launched the card
they dont even have gtx titan till today and werent even on the list of nvidia partners.

QUOTE(ainuddin @ May 26 2013, 08:25 PM)
if from newegg, how much total cost bro? i think best is EVGA since its global warranty eh?
*
QUOTE(infernoaswen @ May 26 2013, 08:29 PM)
its priced at USD$650, so after converting etc should be around RM2.4K provided they taxed 10% on graphic card. If no tax its even cheaper.

You will still need to send back to US to claim for warranty, so you will need to pay for shipping fee to US. Thats a risk you take when buying items from US.

arnd 2.2k with shipping

hmm gtx 780 can overclock pretty good at stock around 1188/1200mhz on the core.

mem clocking so far a bit insane at 7ghz ++

ok stock max is at 1.15 without throttling is 1149 because of tdp at 106. but max stable is 1188 at 1.15v is 1188 for mine
then with overvoltage +38.

i get overclocks from 1149-1228mhz on gaming flux between that.

mem clock tested. heaven easy at 7ghz but stable i actually 6400mhz.

so hitting a tdp limit here.
